I think LC coaxed GC into having some players take shots that were preferred by Lewis Co , not the people GC wanted taking the majority of the shots . Good game . Don't think LC can beat them again if Kiebler has that bad a night . He had a horrible night and LC still escaped .

Details -- Hughes didn't seem aggressive in the first half , only had 2 at the break . LC used that lack of output to their benefit holding a double digit lead after 1 quarter . LC held a 8-14 point most of the evening til 1/2 way thru the 4th . GC hit a three at the end to make the final spread 3 . Well refereed game IMO . LC's big boy had one of those " can't do anything right " nights . Foul trouble 2 minutes into the game . never did get into the flow . McCann off the bench had a nice night for LC , and Keibler did have a big block when GC had cut the lead late in the game . Wireman was money from 3 pt land going 3-3 I believe . GC didn't shoot well from the line , that hurt them . That's all I got .

Could we start a thread on actual chants that should be or might be banned ? I'd offer R U S S E L L Russell, Russell Go to ..... . that was chanted multiple times per night back in the day .

I've got the pleasure of watching Shelby a few times recently on recruiting trips , Great swing and can really hit the ball. I'll mention a team mate of hers from Oldham Co as well . I think her last name is Hamm ? Maybe ?? lefty hitter , plays CF for her travel team and bats leadoff . Great player as well.

Very well played HS football game . 2 stud QB's . Both left it all on the field . Valleys #24 ( Romanello ) was having a whale of a game but left midway thru the 3rd , when he went down Valleys O got stagnant but came up with enough plays to get the go ahead touch down. That last possession never should have came down to a close play . An O lineman horse collared a Valley defender after the Defensive player was a step past him , just reached back and grabbed him right above the numbers from behind , Raceland gained 28 yards on that but should have been a 14 yard loss . Might be one of the biggest missed calls in the history of football because of how blatant it was . But it was a excellent game . Puzzled why Valley didn't go for two after scoring with 1.5 minutes to go . Then were up 5 but called time out and broke huddle and kicked a EP to go up 6 .. Why would they do that ?

I would encourage all the Ram faithful to make the trip to Lucasville . One of the best HS venues in SEO . Plenty of parking , good sound system and beautiful field . Valley has built quite the winning tradition the past 3-4 years and are just one of teams that takes the field FULLY expecting to win. I'd say Raceland has to bring the A - A+ game to win this one .

FWIW I'll be rooting the Ky Boys -- Go Raceland They are not out of Valley's league but will be a underdog that night . Is it at Valley ? They have this big blow up Indian head that intimidates the opponent .

I think Fleming did play them tough . Close game . But it certainly wasnt one of the better games for Valley. And I'm not a Valley backer . They are just really well coached , and have had a super past 2-3 seasons and brought back a bunch from a solid squad . I'd like to think the Rams can hang but I keep remembering Raceland giving up 60 plus to Portsmouth East just a couple years ago . And East isnt anywhere close to Valley . Bout like Bama VS ? Marshall ? Big Big gap there .
