Raceland (3-1) coming of a win vs. rival 4A Greenup County travels across the State lines to play at Lucasville Valley, OH. (3-0).

Valley, although only a 21 player roster is loaded and considered to be among the best teams in their Southeastern Ohio area this season. Raceland always plays as tough of out of district schedule as possible and this one, along with Ashland is imo the best team on the Rams schedule.

Raceland's offense has been "inconsstent" at times and the Rams defense has been the constant, good defense.

Can the Rams get what I would consider an upset on the road at unbeaten Valley or do the Indians stay on their roll through the 2015 season ?

Rams .... this one might be your toughest test yet (Ashland may be the exception) but this Valley team is Legit ! Ashland, maybe Paintsville are as good but the point is you're going to have to Step Up. This week is going to reveal a lot about what's inside of you.

Work hard, your coaches will have another excellent game plan but the best game plan on earth is worthless if you don't Focus, Work Hard and Execute !

ALL IN !

This is going to be a tough out for us this week. Even with a low number roster, Valley doesnt have any shortage of atheletes. Outside of Ashland, this may be the most atheletic team we face.

I would like to see us go a little more ground and pound from under center. I think that would set up some nice play action looks in the redzone. I think Bailey Walker and Kyle Jamison both need more touches in the redzone as well. We ABSOLUTELY have to figure something out in goal line situations. By my calculations, we have had about 7, four and out possessions inside the 10 yard line this year. Both the West Carter game and the Greenup games, scores are not indicitive of how the Ram defense dominated the second half of those games. But its getting down to crunch time and we need to figure some things out offensively.

I am a Ram through and through and I hope we can come out on the winning end and healthy, bc from now until week 10, its going to be a tough road. If we get our offense clicking I like us buy 7-10. If our offense goes the way it has, I think we lose by 2 late TDs. Its time to put up or shut up, for our offense. Defense is a legit title contender's defense, but our offense hasnt showed the same explosiveness or consistancy.

I don't know enough about Valley to make a prediction. Raceland will live and die with their O/D line. If the Rams O/D line does not dominate the Rams lose. If they dominate they win. That's just what the Rams are this year. Good problem to have :)

I would encourage all the Ram faithful to make the trip to Lucasville . One of the best HS venues in SEO . Plenty of parking , good sound system and beautiful field . Valley has built quite the winning tradition the past 3-4 years and are just one of teams that takes the field FULLY expecting to win.

I'd say Raceland has to bring the A - A+ game to win this one .

Rams D is gonna keep them in this one. If the offense clicks they'll win.

If our offense gets going, in the words of Denis Green, these boys "ARE...WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE" lol. As physical as we were in week one, the Ashland game made us even more physical, this week should be no different and make us even more physical. Anyone know what kind of height/speed. Alley has at WR?

I am not so sure about Ashland having more Pure Athletes .... That's not a cut on Ashland at all. As I stated in another post, L'Ville has around 5 D1/Big time program kids. One already commited to the Buckeyes and from what a school board member had said there probably will be 3 to 4 more. One receiver from what I understood has narrowed down choices to Purdue, IU and OSU.

Ashland has more numbers, obviously more depth of good players but as for the pure "blue chip" players L'Ville may have more, at least as many. JMO.

As for the game itself, I believe that everything hinges on the very good Ram defense to somehow contain this teams passing and speed.

As in any game .... the big ugly's in the trenches will have a big say. Rams defense/ line imo has to get in their backfield and disrupt / stop the offense before it gets started, I am concerned about the speed factor.

I am a bleed orange and black Ram for life and will back the Rams, win or lose. After 47-50 years of this (I am 58) ...I see no reason to change.

The Rams have as many lineman as the other team has played I would bet. Rams need to wear down these guys and let depth show

They need to change the name of that school, it is hard to say. I get tongue tied trying to say it. I think it is the two "V" syllables back to back, who thought that was a good idea?

It should be either Lucasville or Lucas Valley, but not Lucasville Valley. That defies logic.

It's like "Ashland Blazer", only people from outside the area say that, around our area it is just "Ashland" and "Valley".

So, just say Valley.

Anyone know if Nathaniel will be 100% this week? I know he has been hovering around 75-80% since the Ashland game. He looked off last week, was curious if that was a reason and if it is the ankle of the foot he plants with. His throws just didnt Have the same zip and strength they usually have.

I think moving foward, Kyle Jamison needs more involved in the offense. He is averaging around 16 yards/catch and most of the time, he is taking a 5 or 10 yard route and his yac gets him 3-5 more. Idk why he isnt being used in the redzone?

Found this a little interesting... essentially Raceland has played the same schedule as 2014 (I consider Boyd and East Carter to be 1 for 1 swaps..EC probably even a little weaker)

Raceland Offense Through 4 games:

2015- 111 Points

2014- 157 Points

Averaging over 10 less points per game

2015- 1225 yards

2014- 1411 yards

Averaging 46.5 Less Yards Per Game
