Disclaimer: smack talk happens in football, that's part of the game. However, you don't hear Newcath kids talking about the Brossart game quite like the Brossart kids talk about it. To Brossart, this is the SuperBowl. To Newcath, this is another game to get better on the way to another state championship

Why is it a ridiculous statement? Newcath's players are talented enough and far enough ahead of Brossart that if they take care of business, Brossart shouldn't be atble to stop them scoring, no matter who is on the field, hence "Players name the score." Also, Brossart players have been running their mouths, it's just a true statement. Why is it ridiculous to state a fact?

They didn't beat NCC in 09.

Highlands-CovCath is easily the biggest rivalry. NewCath-Beechwood is second in NKY. Always a close game and a great atmosphere (especially at Beechwood). Loved playing there, words can't describe it.

True, I'll give him that. But still the throws he makes in tough situations that go for int's are the one's he needs to throw away. I thought he would've learned after last years nc game.

Think the breds win easy in this one if they cut down on the fumbles from last week and play their game.

Score was a lot closer than the game. NewCath had problems with the center-quarterback exchange as they fumbled it four times. Outside of Hightchew, NewCath had great play from their skill players (Hayes, Wolterman, Collopy, and Franzen). All played good games and came up with big plays. Hope for a quick recovery for the center Thacker, as he is a key component on the off and def lines.

Pike getting 4 yards per carry "falling down" would've been more like 2 yards per carry falling down with how NCC's defensive line penetrated on run plays

Zeke Pike would not have changed this outcome much IMO
