Cat fan. Watch st Xavier backs. #16 goes 5'11" 185. He played against SK last year as a soph. In his first varsity game and did quite well. Runs much bigger than he is. #44 goes 5' 9" around 200 and is fast if he breaks lose. #45 goes 5' 9" and 240 or so and is a bull to bring down All the above will be juniors Sr rb Brandon Moore is nursing a hamstring deal. Not sure if he will play

UK. Don't be surprised to see X throw it way more than last year. We have some good wide outs and a couple of big tights that are back Our starting tailbacks are back, one of which was playing in his first varsity game against SK last year . This will be a much deeper team than last year and more size and talent than the past couple of years OFFENSE In order to improve coach Glaser must open up the offense. Gahafer will be a good signal caller and really throws a nice ball. Not so much of a runner The o-line returns three 3 year starters the newbies on the o line are Big physical juniors. Ends and wide outs are experienced . The backfield is two deep with excellent athletes.Three juniors and one senior. All of whom saw significant playing time last year DEFENSE Middle-slightly untested but bigger than in the past. They will platoon 4-5 guys in the tackle spots Ends- Roesler is fast and physical Ackerson can play and saw time last year as a junior. Backups are quick and getting bigger LBs- clyburn is a man and combs is quick and a hard knocker DBS and safeties- semersheim has D-1 potential. Strong all the way around Next to Trinity, X plays the toughest schedule year in and year out-tough to argue with this fact I for one expect great things out of this years bunchAs you know. Speed is everything anymoreNo doubt they will reload. But losing what they had last year will take time to develop. Get this down: there is no longer a lineman on their team that will be able to block roesler consistently.This is pretty well summed up. The will be big and fast and hard to deal with. I was more or less ridiculed by a few last year when I stated that there were a number of D-1 prospects on this D. Clyburn (Col.-State), Roessler (first offer from MAC power Toledo) and others will most assuredly be hearing from additional D-1 programs as the season progresses. :thumb:Ballard in general is always loaded with athletes. Who do we look for on the gridiron ? Any two sport stars ?Louisville st Xavier. 9-14. Home versus Moeller- pay back. Win 10-26 Away versus Cincy x. Win 2Yes and yes. All of those kids are deserving. The x kids just as deserving as any afore mentioned You could have picked perhaps 2 more Ballard kids and 1-2 more trinity kids for sure But in reality since everyone knows how it's going to go down.....who cares ?your all over it, around it and close to it... but .... it is dead i am told...... prolly auto delete this threadAvid: I like your style ! So much of this will depend upon: 1. The predicted demise of the Trinity Line (nowhere near the talent of 2011's class but ??????) 2. The St. X. QB position (I for one am not all the concerned) 3. The play of the St. X Defense (Semersheim, Roessler, Clyburn etal---I like that !!!!) 4. The maturing of the St. X. Backfield ( Licking my chops!!!!!) 5. The offesnive Play Calling (the mods wont let me put my comments here)There is no doubt, without question, that X will be better next year. We will miss Mattingly, but I really think Gahafer is going to surprise many at the QB spot. Defense will be stout. We dont have to talk running backs, because we have some good ones. Record will be better than last. I do think that the tigers will surprise many this year, and maybe be able to bridge the gap between the two slightly. Looking way ahead, two years out, I understand Trinity is reloaded (bonafon, brooks, etal). But I will take the Tigers in 2013.
