highlands returned the opening kickoff for a td, 7-0 birds.

Where is this game being played at?

Our offense was our weak point tonight. We turned the ball over on every drive it seemed like and gave them such short fields. They probably had less than 100 yards of total offense in the first half but with 3 touch downs and 2 field goals to show for it. Our first play on offense was a fumble around our 20, our next drive ended in a fumble around our 30, the next was an interception if I remember right around midfield, a fumble on kickoff return, and that was all in the first half. Somerset is way too good of a team to try and compete with when we turn the ball over that much.

Playing hard may have payed off for the Jackets so far, but Hazard will play hard too. Except Hazard has much more size, speed, and strength, and experience. I also find it unlikely that Dixon would be out-coached. I am assuming this game is at Hazard (correct me if I'm wrong), and that will make it even harder for the Jackets. Going to Hazard and trying to get a win is very hard indeed. I think that Hazard is on a whole 'nother level than Williamsburg and can almost name the score in this one.

Hazard will get to walk to the Championship game this year, they will be well rested for whoever they face there.

Hazard won't need to play their starters for most of the second half, I agree with dragon slayer, 49-14.

As a player, and a starter on defense, hats off to Leslie County. Their players had a ton of fight and they gave it everything they had. I was treated too a much tougher game than I was expecting.

Dominique Hayden!!

Were still LCA. We have gotten warmed up to 2A. We keep getting better. Watch out Somerset.

Our offense continues to struggle and puts our defense in bad situations, hats off to Somerset though. The have a good team and they ran it down our throats, which is not easily accomplished. Our interior D did not have a good game.

I just watched the video. I've played Raceland many times, and they have always played us with class. I would just like to say that anyone who watches it should not judge the team based on those two players. Their highschool kids and they do stupid stuff, but their are no excuses and that behavior is not acceptable, and I'm sure they will be disciplined if their coach hears about it.

Mercer wins 40-28. the officiating was a joke, way to many unnecessary penalties on both teams.

Mercer up 33-22

Mercer puts together a drive and scores again, 26-16.

Mercer takes the lead, 19-16.

Mercer scores again quickly after an interception. Missed the PAT. 16-12

Mercer scored but failed the two point conversion. 16-6.

Nelson up 16-0 at half. Mercer's defense is doing alright, but their offense is struggling.

*Rains Mercer was not playing their best in the first half, they stepped it up in the second, but the offense kept turning the ball over in the redzone. This team will get a lot better as the season goes on.

Coach Rains is excited and so am I. I really don't think there will be parent issues, he has never had them in the past. And hes got a house on the lake

Hazard is the only chance at a state title for the east, maybe Raceland but they haven't had a legitimate shot since 2008.

Zach is also one of our two captains.

They ran a qb dive, we clogged the middle and he bounced it to find the endzone.

No, Zach West did not play last night. If we had the incident on film we would have won the appeal, but are camera man was watching the ball and not Zach.

Thanks for the compliment and we will do better in 2A than most people expect, like how nobody gave us a shot at the beginning of this season. I thought we had this game wrapped up but Hazard somehow managed to score with little time left, it was a heart-breaker. Meaning no slight to Hazard, I think we should be going to WKU right now. The senior class we had was awesome and our team grew so much through the season and we worked so hard, its tough to see it all end. The worst part being is that was the last game I would ever play with some of my brothers. I will be rooting for Hazard against Mayfield and I honestly think they will win, I really want to see to see Coach Dixon win state. LCA will reload for next year and we will shock 2A, they won't see us coming. P.S. it's good to be back on bgp.
