That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying that not everyone that's a good Coach chooses to coach High School. Some like coaching at the AAU level some can't commit to the schedule or practice times for High School there are a number of reasons. I was just pointing out that your assumption that AAU coaches are wannabe's in some cases is true but in most is not. I know many AAU coaches who have turned down High School jobs for various reasons.

I don't think you have seen much High Level AAU ball. Some of these guys and gals are terrific coaches and choose to coach High Level AAU because it is more challenging than High School Basketball. Just one example Nancy Winstel is a AAU Coach I think all her little Suzy's have done quite well.

From a coaching perspective I really do find both to be equally wrong.

It's a childish question. Neither is necessary. My kids would try to run through a brick wall for me if I asked them to. And not once over the years have they ever heard a personal attack or been cussed at by me or any of our coaches. Either approach shows a lack of personal discipline or a lack of effective vocabulary. When you have no clue what your talking about just blurt out the F-Bomb and then that will really get the kid to understand exactly what your trying to get across to them? Get real all that does is make the player have less respect for you as a person as well as a coach.

Not trying to be disrespectful but I disagree with both your points. From a coaching perspective I have Never felt like I couldn't get my point across without using the F-Bomb. A coach that curses means either they a lack of discipline or a lack of vocabulary you decide. And yes I have been fortunate enough to coach many kids who believe it or not their parents have actually taken the time to raise them right and they do not use that kind of language and what a disgrace it would be for those kids to be hearing F-Bombs from their coaches. Believe it or not there is still right and wrong in this world and in coaching either your a force for one or the other. I choose to be a force for what is right and my kids will never be subjected to that kind of language from myself or any of our coaches.

I agree that was a a huge call. #1 Kiernan had 22pts and 10 Reb in that game and your right Abby is extremely quick and makes it pretty tough to press that team. Hats off to the Focus in that game they played very well.

That's a very misinformed statement. Look at the Rosters for both these of these organizations and you will see many of the best players in the state at their grade level.

He would go above and beyond thats for sure. Heck he would even ring a players neck literally. And if that didn't work he might head butt you or give you a good swift kick. All actual incidents involving Bobby Knight. As far as being respected as a coach if we think that being up in a kids face screaming or dropping F-Bombs on the sidelines is the way to achieve respect then Gods speed to the kids!!

You might want to start with studying the KHSAA rules and see if you can find where any were broken at Walton. I think you will find the answer is NO. Strange fact that in America some parents do still have a choice of where they send their kids to school.

Again really no disrespect give me examples (since is has happened several times) of where you have seen this happen in a Win or go home game. You called the coach out for not doing it now it's time to either give the examples or drop it.
