  1. Lexington Catholic gets beaten by a nationally ranked team on the road. Still, sounds like they at least put up a fight. Anyone hear anything on this one? I'm simply going by Herald-Leader.
  2. With Highlands making the appearance on Sunday Night Football on NBC last night, I'm going out on a limb and saying we are going to have a running clock the whole second half. Humility never had a chance. ;-)
  3. Huge congrats to all these teams! Congratulations as well to all the runner ups. Nothing to hang your head about in a 2nd place finish. Alright boys and girls, time to start looking to next year! (
  4. Congrats LCA, this program has really built itself up and become a consistent powerhouse in their class. Well earned Championship!
  5. Per usual in the games Lex Cath loses to Boyle, they struggle to consistently shut down the run and Boyle is able to grind out both minutes and yards on the Knights. Offensively Catholic wasn't that bad managing some decent running and passing throughout. However, in the end Boyle definately looked like the more complete team. Good Luck Rebels the rest of the way.
  6. Not sure Lex Cath can win this one or not. Boyle is a very good team and I am sure they have been slowly improving and getting better throughout. However, I've been impressed with Lex Cath ever since these two last squared off. It seems the Knights finally let loose a bit. Boyle's D is tough and I do agree it will be hard for the Knights to put up more then 21. As for the D. Going to have to stiffen up and really shore up the line. Boyle ran at will last game and the Knights are going to have to keep from getting burned by the big plays. No prediction, just gonna say GO KNIGHTS!!!
  7. Strangely, one would have to be somewhat close minded to look into my statement and draw out that opinion. Of course I probably should have seperated part A and Part B of my comment to show that they were seperate ideals. My point about the Team A vs Team B and Team B vs Team C thus causing people to arrive at an opinion of Team A Vs Team C should go a certain way is drawn from the fact I feel too many intangibles play into each seperate game i.e. injuries, experience, simple confidence or drive, personnel changes, matchups, etc. I just simply don't think claims such as LCA losing to Lex Cath by one and Lex Cath losing to Trinity by one means LCA should be able to play Trinity to a 2 point loss. However, don't take my comment fully towards LCA, it simply was derived from first Lone Oak and then the LCA comment. I feel LCA is playing very well at this time as well, as evidenced by the whooping put on Corbin. The three stars (as well as the other cast players that make a team run) are really clicking and LCA very well could compete with a lot of the top teams including Trinity. And that goes for Lone Oak as well. I simply dislike the simple statement of deductive reasoning that some people make based upon two seperate games and their results.
  8. For the life of me I hate hearing any comparisons of well Team A played Team B and did this well against them and Team B played Team C and did this well against them. Thus Team A should be able to play this well against Team C right? Too many outlying factors dilute this equation. Lex Cath is by far a better team today then they were four or five weeks ago I feel. The Boyle Co. game seems to have really awakened this group. As for Trinity, I have no clue of their situation currently except to state it sounded like a bit of a down year when compared to other TRINITY seasons.
  9. Congrats to Benton! Hard to believe he used to be my first grade buddy at Mary Queen when I was in 8th grade. UTB is getting old.
  10. Just wondering if anyone knew score or had updates on this one?
  11. Alright, now I'm gone. Check the website out if you need updates.
  12. Waiting on roommate so I got a few extra minutes of updating.
  13. McSherra running all over Lex Cath. 200+ yards. 2tds. 5:51 to go 2nd qtr. 14-3 Rebs. Rebs ball on Lex Cath 1 after a 73 yd run by McSherra?
  14. http://www.hometownlive.net/ Click on Z-105 link. That is what I was using.
  15. Field Goal Knights. 14-3 Rebels. Between 8-10 mins left in 2nd Qtr. Alright, UTB out. But I gotcha guys that far.
  16. 4th and Goal now from 6 after a few Incomplete passes. Good hold by Rebs.
  17. 1st and Goal now @ 5 for Lex Cath. 2nd Qtr early. 14-0 Rebs.
  18. Ouch, unsportsmanlike conduct by Rebs after getting Lex Cath to 3rd and 10 at 15.
  19. 1st down @ Boyle 15 for Lex Cath. 14-0 BC.
  20. Knights driving using the pass. Sounds like the run is not open right now for Lex Cath. Raglin stuffed twice on runs, but Ward getting in a rhythm with the pass. Ball on 28, 1 min left in 1st Qtr.
  21. 14-0. McSherra? has two long td runs and just got another long run called back. 5 mins left in 1st I think.
  22. Sounds like Knight D is gonna have to figure things out.
  23. Just wondering if I was missing the score thread or if anyone had info on the final of this one? Thanks!
  24. Ha, I must be getting old (24). I kept trying to think if we had played Cov Cath outside the playoffs and for some reason kept concluding that we hadn't but that they had been at our bowl a few times ala I think 1999 when they upset St. X maybe? But you are right, I now recall this one. 28-13.
