Yes, the super is still there, Bill Musick. I think Musick was the ring leader in all the wrong doings, with Garry being a close second. You will now see who the "true" Fairview fans are, I suspect times will be tough.

Sounds like Fairview is doing a complete 180, going away from the boring ground and pound and moving to a passing attack, that could be exciting. What about the defense? I'm guessing with the new coach and new systems, that the spring was crazy.

Until Musick retires, there will always be questions concerning the legitimacy of the program.

How does the rest of the staff shake out? Who's the new DC? Fannin? Will Salmons relinquish the OC duties to Grizzle or continue to call the plays?

More like trolling. I played for coach Ross and I don't ever recall him bringing in an entire starting backfield, or an entire secondary. Somebody at Fairview was guilty of that. TTA considered adding a line to Westwood, due to the number of kids coming in from Huntington every year. Go troll somewhere else.

He may be, but I would the administration at Raceland wouldn't even think about hiring him.

Like I said, these were just rumors.

I heard rumors that Jerry Lucas was interested in either the Russell or Raceland jobs. Obviously the Russell job first and if they hired TJ, then Raceland was the next choice. I was told he is from the area and was looking to move back to this area. Again, this was all hearsay.

I don't know if goold ol' boy system is the proper phrase. I think it's more along the lines of promoting from within.

The state of Raceland football is at an all time high and will only go higher, so I'm not sure you wanna take a chance with an assistant coach who has no previous head coaching experience. With that being said, I think you have to look outside the program first. I've heard of at least one coach with a recent state title who is interested in taking the job, obviously it's hearsay, so you take it with a grain of salt. If the rumor is true and the man is genuinely interested in the program, then you hire him. Just my opinion, and my opinions have been known to irritate others.

I wouldn't mind seeing Vanderhoof make a second go at it, but I don't think that will happen. I think Salmons is still a few years away from becoming a head coach. Lewis is a good candidate, but with his age, I'm not sure it's a good long term solution. I hope that those in charge take the time and select the best candidate for the job. Of course, at this point everything is based on rumors, so who knows.

If the rumors are true, I would like to see the administration go outside of the program to find a replacement. I honestly don't think Salmons is ready to run a program. Lewis would be a good choice, but he has to be close to retirement, so you would probably be going through the same thing in a few years and outside of him, I don't know of any other members on the staff who are ready.

This is obviously an open forum and we live in a country where free speech is one of our right, but god forbid you share your opinion of this program when it goes against the beliefs of the "Establishment".

First and foremost, Williamsburg played an excellent game!! To me, it was a tale of two halves for Raceland. That's all I will say at this point, otherwise I will make the others angry at me.
