The principle of Raceland High School met with the Raceland football team today and announced Mike Salmons, former Off. Coordinator, is the new head coach.

Is that the same guy who coached at Greenup County or is that a different Michael Salmons?

Aaron Snyder's twitter just answered my question that he was a former player for the Rams and a long time Rams assistant. Again good luck to coach Salmons.

I am not questioning the hire at all. I don't know anything about Sammons. I am just commenting on the speed they got it done.

The guy has been there awhile, knows the system, and will do a great job. Will he keep the OC title as well?

How does the rest of the staff shake out? Who's the new DC? Fannin? Will Salmons relinquish the OC duties to Grizzle or continue to call the plays?

I think he will. He knows the offense just as well as Maynard did. DC is a different story. I honestly don't know who will be that other than Mark Lewis. Lewis knew everything there was to the front 7 on defense and the man is a heck of a D-Line coach. Been there, done that.

with him taking the HC spot, doesn't that free up a spot on the staff?
