Bryan Station is a good team, but ScottCounty will still win by 5 or 6 TD's. SC defense will hold them to 1 maybe 2 TD's, and SC's 6 headed monster on offense will rack up the points. This SC team is very balanced and very good.

Think it's just a down year. They're missing some good players that the team was really counting on this season. When that gets into kids' heads compounded by a few losses, a team can spiral downhill quitely and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. The obvious loss is Vinny Miller off the team. Evander Harris, their best WR and a really good safety and punter, is out for the season following knee surgery this week (PCL and meniscus). Charles McCarthy, 2010 all-city LB, was out sick last night. They don't have as much speed this year as they normally do. Probably other contributing factors, but I'm sure the program will bounce back.

And those numbers don't reflect Ben Lawler's 84 yard "TD" run and a second 43 yard "TD" pass that were both called back on holding calls. Scott County really dominated both sides of the ball. Henry Clay rallied offensively a few times, but Scott County's defense kept shutting them down before they got to the red zone.

Madison Central is a better team than there record indicates.

I agree with this statement. I've heard trainers say athletes shouldn't take a knee because their legs are more likely to cramp in that position. Show the down player respect. The longer he's down, the more respect you show. I'm more bothered by the "not caring too much for the other players" comment. True mental toughness is knowing you have the skill and fortitude to win; helping them up off the ground because they know they're going to be back down there shortly; no smack talk because silence with a grin speaks volumes. Confidence is an attitude, not an action. Winning has nothing to do with "not caring". I've found the best athletes are feared as a competitor but liked as a person!

The "city title" will likely come down to the winner of the TC-Lafayette game. That will be a good game!

Defense will win this match up based on who can stop the other teams running game. Experience also favors Oxendine. I think Tates Creek wins this one, but it will be close.

I agree. SK's defense only allows about 12 points a game and Boone averages about 24 points a game. Boone won't run away with it, but they win by 14.

Scott County will dominate on both sides of the ball and win by 35 or more. I hate to see Henry Clay down like this, but they will rally next year.
