^ As they do me TCA. Nicholas lost the first week of the season and have been on a big time roll since. 5-1 Blue Jackets along with Fairview are the district favorites. Raceland at 2-4 need a win badly.

Finally a home football game! I look for the Rams to come out ready to play. We may have to get a map to find Ram Stadium, haven't been there since week 1.

Rams, this week starts the real season! Work hard in practice/you play like you practice. I am sure that Coach Maynard and staff will have a great game plan to get you prepared.

This week starts the run for another Raceland Distict Championship (18 or 19 now I think)! Rams, no one in this district has the number of district titles than Raceland, no one!!

"Protect This House" and ReClaim the District!!

............ Respect All, Fear No One and play with RAM PRIDE

Well, the real season begins. We keep speaking about strength of schedules. We will see if our argument holds water starting this Friday night. Nicholas County looks to be a very big challenge and we have our hands full. I am just glad the game is at home.

Rams....... This week is vital in the District, not next week. The ONLY week that Fairview is important starts on Saturday of this week. Do not get caught up in that mindset, looking ahead has beaten more football teams than anything has........Your job is to listen to your coaches..... your job is to concentrate on the game plan for this week...... your job is to work hard every day in practice, no let ups (if you take a play off in practice then you will in the game)......your job is to prepare yourself mentally as well as physically for this game.........your job is to go out on Friday night and play as hard as you can and beyond, leave it all out on the field. No excuses.

Rams, should you do your job and take care of the things that you can control.....how you prepare and play then I have no doubt on the results................

DO YOUR JOB!!!!

This will be the first forecast for clear skies and mid 70's weather for a Nicholas County/Raceland game since I have been with the team. The first 5 years have been cold, rainy and windy. Yeah weather!!!!

Doc, you are new, lol. The Raceland/Nicholas game in far more years than not has been played in terrible weather conditions. I actually woud recommend anyone plaanning to attend to at least have rain/cold weather gear in their vehicle just in case the normal conditions for this game suddenly appear, lol. Besides anyone around our area is aware of the reliabiliy of our local news/weather. So, shuld you not like the weather around here, wait about a 1/2 hour and it will change.

I would like to get off track on this thread for just a moment to give an update on former Raceland football player (rb/lb)Bret Denton, Bret was a standout RB/LB on the 12-0 reg. season Rams a few years ago.

Bret had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a while back, his last MRI confirmed a new spot/liesion on the brain and the M.S. Bret has been diagnosed with the relapsing/remitting form of the disease. I know all too well of M.S. and what it can do to a body, I have the more advanced Progressive form of M.S..

I pray that the M.S. in Bret was caught early enough where it can be managed more effinciently. There are several meds availible for this form of M.S..

The Denton family are fine people and I know that your/our prayers will be appreciated.

Thank You
