This will be the first forecast for clear skies and mid 70's weather for a Nicholas County/Raceland game since I have been with the team. The first 5 years have been cold, rainy and windy. Yeah weather!!!!

I was dry as a bone, and was trying to get the attention of the "nameless" guy to ask him what the radar looked like now. He just never would look at me. Huh.

Ram is wanting me to fess up without him naming me. It was Sidelinedoc who not only scoffed at Ram but advised Mrs. Sidelinedoc and kids to come to the game without the proper gear. Believe me, I was reminded of it all the way home.

All indications are that we are focused on the task at hand and will play inspired ball Friday night. I believe we are having some time to honor Morgan Elkins, our QB's dad, who passed away after our Pikeville game, prior to the game.

I would like to get off track on this thread for just a moment to give an update on former Raceland football player (rb/lb)Bret Denton, Bret was a standout RB/LB on the 12-0 reg. season Rams a few years ago.

Bret had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a while back, his last MRI confirmed a new spot/liesion on the brain and the M.S. Bret has been diagnosed with the relapsing/remitting form of the disease. I know all too well of M.S. and what it can do to a body, I have the more advanced Progressive form of M.S..

I pray that the M.S. in Bret was caught early enough where it can be managed more effinciently. There are several meds availible for this form of M.S..

 

The Denton family are fine people and I know that your/our prayers will be appreciated.

I spoke to Bret's dad today. He said Bret is doing very well and there is no change in his condition. He is asymptomatic and going to start an oral medication to decrease the number of future episodes that he may have. But, he is doing great and is not having any problems as of right now.
