  1. I didnt mean to put Clark County. I was reading a thread on their basketball team and I guess I put them on there by accident. I mean to say Shelby County. They could be one of the first under honorable mentions IMO.
  2. Id have to say the number one overall top Sophomore in NKY is Doug Teegarden. The kid is a flat out stud. Then after that it would be safe to say a couple other names. In no particular order after Teegarden. Here's a couple: 1. Doug Teegarden- Boone 2. Leiff Clarkson- Ryle 3. Dustin Cottrell- Walton Verona 4. Derek Brilz- Beechwood 5. Corey Garrett- Dixie Heights Thoughts?
  3. So is this a new school? What are some schools that have filtered into this school?
  4. :thumb: Thanks Diamond. What 8th Region teams would you put in there? I know Clark County and Anderson County were pretty good last year I just dont look for them to be as good.
  5. All the best Juniors this year are probably from Beechwood also...
  6. Plain and simple Ryle will have the best hitting in the 9th. Dixie will have the best pitching. Boone will be solid also. I see them as the 3rd best team in the Region. Their 3 BEST starting pitchers will be IMO: 1. Teegarden 2. Deno 3. Laughmann Then maybe if they are lucky your two stud transfers will have a shot to pitch in a game or two. Honestly I still dont think either will have that big of an impact on the Rebs team this year. They have some talent coming up from the JV level that can replace Turner and Wheatley without a problem.
  7. This preseason poll is not to be based on last years performance of a team. But the expectations of this coming up year for teams. So tell me what you all think. Here is mine: 1. Lex Cath 2. Trinity 3. Bullit East 4. Eastern 5. Harrison County 6. West Jessamine 7. Grayson County 8. Central Hardin 9. South Laurel 10. Tates Creek 11. Male 12. Henderson County 13. Apollo 14. Russell 15. Corbin 16. Danville 17. Dixie Heights 18. Mercer County 19. Lexington Christian 20. Pleasure Ridge Park 21. Lawrence County 22. Ryle 23. Elizabethtown 24. Lafayette 25. Owensboro Catholic Thoughts?
  8. I know he is a great pitcher but what you forgot to put on here is the Northern Kentucky Panthers played in the Conitinental Division of the 16 Division. With no disrespect intended those teams are very very very much alike knothole teams. Some are worse. We will see how he does this season against some of the 9th Region teams.
  9. Thompson was BY FAR their best pitcher and still is. He's a nice ball player.
  10. Boone. Brown really impressed me alot when I watched him play. He's as strong as ever. If th Rebs can find a way to feed him the ball they will win.
  11. Good season by the Juggs. Great game by the Colonels. Hatton had a very solid game. How many points did have? Pike also had a great game. How many points he have?
  12. She sure is a good player. She'll be dominate her Junior and Senior year.
  13. From the 34th my prediction is St Henry and Lloyd with the upset of Dixie.
  14. Thats definately who your thinking of. He wont let a single ball get passed him and he has a very strong arm. He's been working hard this off season to become a better hitter and its paying off. FWIW he's still not the greatest hitter on the team but he wont be the worst either. He's getting better. If worst comes to worst Coach Maxwell will put a DH in for him.
  15. Dixie and Ryle could easily replace Beechwood and Cov Caths spot this year. Maybe even higher.
  16. How many did Hartfield have?
  17. Well technically its not called "Varsity" and "JV" tryouts but thats what it is. Its called 8th grade through sophomores practice together and Juniors and Seniors practice together. And recently I heard young Cody York has been getting some work in at short stop. He's a very good ball player.
  18. Im guessing this is strictly just because of last years results and not expectations for the upcoming season. Cov Cath an Beechwood will be lucky to each have 20 wins this season. Personally I think the Beechies might struggle to be .500
  19. :thumb: Ive talked to him on several occasions and it sure seems that way.
  20. I dont see 20 wins for the Colonels this season. Maybe high teens. There hitting will struggle against some of the better pitching up here.
  21. Any players on the team yet?
  22. Is it travel/select?
  23. Yeah me too. Takes away the experience for some of the seniors.
