He was a GREAT ball player. I hope he has a great year during his senior year.

They had a 16u team playing in the 18u division. Like I said before I'm not certain of what teams his homeruns came against. The only homeruns I am certain of is he hit 3 homeruns against Scott County's varsity summer team and 1 homeruns against another team in that tournament and I know he hit one homerun agaisnt the Knoxville Stars and one homerun against the Knoxville Yard Dogs. Only reason I know that is from some sources on his team and some parents. I dont think your understanding what I'm saying though about his homeruns. He might not have hit ANY homeruns against the higher competition they played. All his homeruns might have came against the lesser competition they played. I really dont know about his homeruns other than the ones I just told you.

Post any 9th Region baseball teams schedules on here so just in case us old men get bored on a spring day we can come watch some 9th region baseball.

Thank you 3balls2strikes:thumb:

Who is in the 6th region?

He will do it I think. He's a heck of a ball player. Didnt he also win the homerun derby contest up in Cooperstown when he was 12 or 13? I think I remember hearing about that.

I dont know what teams he hit them against. You got to understand he probably didnt play those teams every game. They played in the 17u SWOL so he probably hit some in the league games also. I have no clue who he hit them against. Could have been in tournaments, could have been in league games against lesser competition. I dont know. For all I know he didnt hit a homerun at all against any of those teams. He might of hit them just in leagues of lesser competition in tournaments. I do know he hit 4 of his homeruns in the Scott County Invitational Tournament and 2 more of his homeruns in the Knoxville Stars tournament.

Didnt he play for the Midland Fury and the Kentucky Fury with Logan Carney?

I know lol. Sorry. But seriously he will be one of the top players in the region this year and next year. I think he doesnt get much talk is because he didnt play summer ball this year or last year. He's my breakout player of the year.

Watch out for Sophomore Dustin Cottrell. He will be one of the best players in the region.

I knew I was missing some players. I dont know alot of players for the Camels so I was just naming the ones I knew.

Looks like a great starting lineup. Watch out for young Mr. Truitt. He will be a major contributor on this team this year. He should be on the list of top juniors in the 9th. Alot of people forget about him though. He's a very good ball player.

I just got Sextons summer stats from his coach and here they are. Remember he was 16 this past summer playing in 18u tournaments against teams such as Bluegrass, KBC, Columbus Cobras, Midland and also some college showcase tournaments in the Eastern U.S. Here is his stats: Games Played- 53 AB BA C% OB% S% Hits Doubles HR RBI Runs SB SAC BB HP 147 .463 .871 .518 .714 68 13 11 58 40 9 3 9 1

 I think this 9th Region season will be one exciting and fun season.

He said that he will be playing 3rd and Pitch.

Johnson maybe? Cottingham? Nussbaum? Who knows with Coach M.

Brandon Hatton WILL play football to all you who have questions about it.

Yeah a very live arm. He would be a great closer but I dont think Dixie is one of those schools like Cov Cath that has a set and stone closer. I think they just pitch whoever they think will get it done at the end of the game. He will be in the rotation this year for Dixie. Ill have to come watch a few Dixie games. Seems like every one of their pitchers will be exciting to watch.

Dixie vs. Scott

Yes Pitch. He caught last year at the JV level but in the summer his coach got him to pitch and he only lost one game. He beat KBC, Bluegrass and some more well known teams. His only lost was to the Columbus Cobras 18u team. They had 11 D1 signees on their team. He has great velocity and his delivery makes it even harder to hit. His curveball his very good too. I look for him to be one of the top pitchers in the next 2 years. Well some of the Juniors i didnt put was Abeling, Leonard, Wiley, Muntis, Brosmore... The only reason i put those juniors is because I can see every one of them performing BIG at this season. They each have I think been playing a little bit of varsity since their freshman year with the exception of Barnhorst. Popham played as an 8th grader. Sexton and Dematteo have been playing on and off with varsity since freshman year and I think they both are finally ready to do big things. They both had excellent summers competing at the 18u select/ travel level. Thats the only reason why I put 4 Dixie juniors up. But its an open thread so if you think there is juniors better than them then feel free to post it because I only posted what I thought.

I heard he is going to walk-on at UK to play football.

I know Dixie beat NCC and they played Ryle yesterday. I dont know who won though.

Well thats what I was thinking but I dont know if his bat will be enough to get him in the lineup. His fielding is stellar but im not so sure about his bat.

I didnt add him on any of my lists because he isnt playing this year. Next year he will be on the list of top Seniors for sure. But unfortunately he will not be playing this year.

Campbell County Campbell County will be better than people think. They have a big strong hitter in Jake Rebholze. Ive been watching him since he was a young one playing for the Riverbats. He can rope the ball. Also Coy Shephard at 2nd base always hits and is solid defensively. Kremer and Teegarden will be involved in the run scoring at Campbell also. Bishop Brossart This team returns senior David Greis. If im not mistaken he hold the record for lowest ERA in Brossart history. He pitched a gem against LCA last year. Also he can really hit the ball well. Junior Jake Ollier will be in the rotation this year. I saw him play this summer a game or two and he can really control a game on the mound. He hits his spots and has decent velocity and has a nasty curveball. He'll get some wins for Brossart. Junior Travis Norton will also probably get some innings. I dont know if he'll start pitching but he might see some innings in relief. He's a great centerfielder. Calvary Christain I think this is the year that Calvary gets to Region. They havent been that strong in years past but they have a couple players that have been playing varsity since 8th grade. Also those same kids have been playing a very high level of summer baseball against some of the top competition in the Tri State area and the Eastern United States. Andrew Moran will probably be the ace of the staff this season. He had an amazing summer with the NKY Knights and hit above .400. Chris Looy will get some innings also and can patrol in the outfield. He hit well in the summer and when he gets ahold of one it will go a long way. He's probably the fastest kid in the 10th also. Darin Bray is a catcher that any coach would want on his team. He blocks EVERYTHING and throws a good majority of base runners out. David Helton will be back and strong after tearing his ACL during basketball season. He will probably be the number 2 in the rotation. He started to light it up at the plate this summer. He batted above .350. All these kids I've named played with the NKY Knights 17/18u summer select/ travel baseball team. They've been playing together since they were young and have all grown and gotten better together. If these 4 can come together and be leaders of this team I can see them winning district.
