Is the 8th region going to add a team for basketball and baseball in 2011? I am assuming this is going to be the case. Anyone have any info?

Yes. By all accounts they will be in District 30 with Shelby, Anderson, Spencer, and Eminence. It will be a five-team district to start with; at least until possible redistricting in a few years.

It is in Shelby County. I'm assuming it and Shelby County High will both be relatively equal in size. Some talk in the football threads is that they will both be 4A-sized schools, although I wouldn't be surprised if they get up to 5A. It will be interesting to see how they do in baseball. Shelby has always had a really good program. Will Collins also be good, or will the split limit both schools?

Interesting. Well, there will be some growing pains. But hopefully both will be successful.
