Sources tell FootballScoop that Cincinnati is finalizing a deal to add Jack Griffith as the Bearcats’ DPP – hiring away Griffith from the New York Jets, where Griffith has worked in the scouting department and was seen to have a potential long-term future with the franchise. Satterfield has begun to piece together a staunch first-year staff at Cincinnati that’s filled with some of the sport’s most respected people in both on- and off-the-field roles. Grant, Griffith and Cass Simmons, who's coming to be the Bearcats' Director of Recruiting Strategy, all have served key roles in an Ohio State program that has recruited among the best of the best anywhere in college football.

My same thought.... Nobody is watching a bowl game that isn't on ESPN/ABC. I do like the below thinking from those involved trying to make this happen: Outside of the game, one of the goals of the bowl would be to act as a networking event for players. The day after the game, 30 regional corporate leaders will be invited to host a "Big Wigs Business Brunch," giving student-athletes from the participating schools a chance to meet and network with business leaders to discuss employment opportunities.

Wonder what JJ McCarthy thinks about that TCU 3-3-5 now? Happy TCU won after seeing how cocky and arrogant McCarthy was in his interview prior to the game. Basically said TCU's 3-3-5 wouldn't be able to handle Michigan's run game (TCU abused the UM oline all night) and they were going to show TCU what Big 10 football was all about. Hope he's enjoying that L this morning.

Told the people at my house the same thing after the game last night. OSU was in control of that game and Harrison going out at the end of the 3rd really hurt their offense.

Both Covcath and Pick Central got tough draws in this having to play Winter Haven (LOADED) and Olympia before the semi finals. Covcath and PC probably beat every other team down there.

The Cincinnati USA Sports Commission has announced that it is exploring bringing a college football bowl game to the Queen City. Once the event meets official approval, the game would be held at TQL Stadium and would air exclusively on the CW Network.

I think we probably see Covcath v Pickerington Central in that 5th place game...Pick Central is led by 6'7 Ohio State commit Devin Royal.

Not sure if he took a pay cut or not, but going from OC at UC to TE coach at Wisconsin would seem to be a step back.

^^^^ Zach Grant would be an outstanding hire and addition....he is regarded as one of the best personnel experts in college football when it comes to recruiting and roster development.

Illinois/Chicago kid so he was probably familiar with a few guys on your staff from when Purdue was recruiting him.
