Do not think is as bad as people would lead you to believe just players,coaches and especially fan's have to blame someone for why their team was not prepared,why their kid's had off nights,Northern Kentucky is very competative this year so teams matchup good with each other. Do not get me wrong there is bad calls, missed calls and things just not seen on the floor by an official, and there are also some officials that should find something else to do.But overall i do not think it is as bad as teams act.

The Holmes Middle School teams are pretty good, if the kids stayed out of trouble.I hear that a lot of this years 8th graders were in trouble all year but they still got some pretty good players coming up the ranks. 7th graders are really good. So there will not be a lost for talent to long in Covington.:thumb:

Talent is what coach Henley has been blessed with at Holmes. I agree the set offense let's teams hang around and gives them a chance at the end of games, if he let the horses go a little i believe they win bigger. But like the saying goes a win is a win no matter by how much.

Holmes will and should be up for this game should win by double figures.

Now i just heard Newport is cancelled because we can not make it up there.

The sixth grade boy's and girl's tourney held at Newport Middle School from what my son said is also just pushed back one day being held today, Thursday and Friday with championship being at Holmes Saturday. Good luck to all the middle schoolers.

I too think this will be a close game for the DIII title, would love to see Dayton win this one. But flip a coin could go either way.

Scott by 7, Highlands just not what we thought they would be this year, and I know it's mostly because of the injuries.

The Wildcat's had to good win's on the road this weekend.

I to agree they are the team to beat, but they have not had many shooting nights like they did in Ft. Thomas so if they do not figure out how to attack a zone defense better and hit jumpers more frequently i think they are beatable.

The region is going to be a fun one this year, sounds like I missed a good one last night couldn't make it. Zone defense is only chance to beat Holmes they do not have a great shooter like in the past just streaky ones, don't get me wrong thou on any givin night they could get hot.

lMAO that is some funny stuff, but over all yes people are to hard on the officials, Just because we see something from our angle in the stands doesn't mean they saw the same thing from the angle they have five feet from the play and we are fifty feet away.:idunno:

The Jones kid led the Newport team in hit's,Batted 353 for the year,also led the team in run's. All while playing a stellar shortstop which he has started at since he was a freshman. :notworthy:
