Dixie Heights/Covington Catholic 2/12 Predictions

Featured Replies

Dixie travels a few miles up the Dixie Highway to Park Hills to take on Covington Catholic this Friday. I predict Dixie's game plan will be similiar to how they played Holmes. Very physical. Lots of banging in the paint. Dixie blew Cov. Cath. out last year. Cov. Cath. is itching for some payback. These kids have played basketball, baseball and football together since kindergarten.

Should be a spirited game. Predictions?

Too close to call. CCH has seemed to struggle finding the other team's shooters this year and Dixie has more than one. That's concerning. Pike is as big and as strong physically as Thelen so Jake will not overpower him.

I agree Clyde but i do think Dixie will pull this off in a tight one.

If I was forced to pick I'd pick Dixie.

Of course, CCH is "peaking" right now so......

My prediction is that it will be a close game. Dixie will have a break away layup to go up 5, but the referee will run into "something/someone" on the Dixie sideline, and there will be a technical foul called.

The result will completely change the momentum of the game, and CovCath will win by 5.

You didn't....no really you didn't....oh, yes, yes you did go there.

The real question is who is taking pictures for this game?

On a serious note, is Trammel back playing? I understand he's had some back issues (surgery?)

The ingredients are there for a very entertaining night of basketball.

I understand CovCathiradio is going to assign a roving reporter to the Dixie bench. Someone with very long legs...and big feet. Just in case.

[i am a Cov. Cath. fan but have to agree that calling back Haggerty's touchdown for interference by a sideline videographer who was not in any way affiliated with Dixie's program was harsh.]

I thought you might find the humor in it!

My friend, that made me laugh.

Trammell is not back and probably won't be back this year.

That is a shame. Fun kid to watch and very nice young man.

That they are!!! :D Are they healthy?

I really don't think you can call it 'peaking' when they drop out of the top ten in NKY and in the process fall behind FIVE teams they have already beaten this year. The other coaches in NKY certianly aren't giving much respect right now.

I like the Colonels in a tight game. : O
