  1. Long run for NC's Alex Downs with a 15 yard face mask tacked on.. 1st and goal from 4. Daniel Mudd on keeper to 1 yard line. 2nd and goal. Daniel Mudd puts 6 more on board from 1 yard line. Score is 17 to 7 Nelson winning.
  2. Nelson's Daniel Mudd kicks field goal with 6 minutes left in 3rd quarter to make 10 to 7 Nelson.
  3. Ballard Memorial 27 Bethlehem 21. 3rd quarter.
  4. Shelby 201 total yards. Cresap 7 for 9 passing. Mostly a run game.
  5. Graves scores on a 34 yard run(Zack Crawford). NC had 2 personal fouls on TD drive. 7 to 7. 30 seconds before halftime.
  6. NC fumbles with 47 seconds left before halftime.
  7. Graves threw an int. Then NC threw an int. About 2 minutes left until halftime.
  8. Shelby up 24 to 7 over Seneca at the half.
  9. Nelson County up 7 to zip. 6 minutes left to go in the half. Alex Downs scored on a 22 yard run. So far this is a defensive battle with neither team taking too many chances.
  10. I believe the trip takes a lot out of Nelson County. But Nelson is the better team here, they played a tougher schedule, and had a lot of injuries. Both teams have new head coachs, and some mistakes will be made! Graves did lose to Mayfield. Nelson beat their rival Bardstown for what thats worth. I'll take Nelson by 3 with one of the best kickers in the state.
  11. I believe Simon Kenton wins but this will be a close game. Butler has shown some grit. There non district schedule was softer than normal but they do play in Jefferson County and history tells us that a #4 Jefferson County team is still better than a lot of other districts 1, 2, and 3's. SK 35 Butler 21.
  12. Meade will win at home. A tough non district schedule will pay off for the Green Wave. Apollo plays some tough games but Meade has played all tough games.
  13. Trinity rolls in an easy game. Starters will be healthy for next week!
  14. Surely all of us who have played football knows that during the game the chance of hearing a cowbell or other noise maker is highly unlikely. Most of the time players are so focused and into the game that they hardly hear anything from the stands. Unless of course your teams are so bad that no one is in the stands.
  15. This should be a heck of a game. Both teams beat Fort Knox and Washington County, Bethlehem beat CAL, and Shawnee lost to CAL. Shawnee has played the tougher schedule, but the teams are pretty evenly matched. Who wins and why?
  16. Who wins this season finale? Bardstown has to be doubting themselves after the Fort Knox loss! Also, is Keaton Hall back at QB for Bardstown or is the backup Bobbie Butler still at the helm?
  17. Shelby has beaten 2 strong Jefferson County teams. But Shelby can play in the mud and run the ball as well as throw the ball. Shelby has 2 big running backs and they will line those guys up in the old power I and run it right up the gut if they have too, I've seen them do it this season. Oldham did beat a very good Anderson County team, and should be playing with a lot of confidence. If the field is good Shelby will win 42 to 32, and if the field is muddy Shelby will win 28 to 25.
  18. I believe John Hardin will beat Central Hardin pretty easily. The game being played on Thursday makes more sense for scouting purposes. The state has had inclement weather for most of the season.
  19. Both teams are hurting, but Bullitt East always plays hard, so you gotta give them at least 3 points for playing at home. Nelson is playing banged up also, but they do have a little momentum after slipping by North Hardin last week to get into the playoffs.
