Steve Fromeyer is the new Head Coach at Scott High School
First: Congrats to Steve. Well deserved and I can guarantee he will be The Best Dressed Coach in the 10th Region…. As for football officiating. Steve is an excellent football official, but I believe that he turned out early last season due to some back issues and may be altering that part of his life some. Looking forward to seeing him "suit up" Friday nights !

Welcome to BGP. Clearly your issue is with the process of draw v seed, which has absolutely nothing to do with this. It is also pretty clear that you either have 1) a severe deficit in your understanding of sportsmanship or 2) don't care about sportsmanship. I can forgive the first, once…. No one has argued about PC players or their work ethic. This is purely and squarely 100% on the coaches. I believe both played college ball, therefore they have been around this game enough to know how it works. You can never defend the indefensible, much like you can never convince those that are not willing to see exactly what they are looking at for what it is. If I am Keith Smith, I'm having a serious discussion with the coaches about their ability to represent my school and their ability to present good role modeling for PC students. Call it what you want…it's a travesty that no one benefits from.

Notre Dame 9 Simon Kenton 1
Nah, won't pull your credentials, just call out the obvious. If you don't like it, I can add you to the list…it will be fun. So since you are calling the question and are in McCracken County….do you attend a lot of Simon Kenton games or just scroll the boards looking for the hidden gems ?

Welcome to BGP ! I hope you will consider purchasing a Premium Membership as we all like to have a variety of views on the topics we discuss. It would appear you have drawn the attention of @Lawnboy13 in the softball thread. Good for you. Seems to me that the SK coach has done pretty well over the past few years. Just curious: Are you new to the SK system or is this is a historical axe you are grinding ?

Paris vs Harrision County
Campbell County may have something to say about that .....

Cooper 8 Newport Central Catholic 5 (11 innings)
"Watched" this one by proxy. Sounded like a good ole fashion hum dinger. Wish it would rain some in NKY so the softball season wasn't so dry....

Making me consider attending...wouldn't want to miss the fracas...- Pendleton County 35 Augusta 0
Can't really do this...but you can step off the base and end your offensive half of the inning and after doing a little research, it would seem that the coaches have to know this. (They are very experienced)- Nice write up Dayton
Just mentioned this program the other day. The kids understand the game and believe in themselves. Great to see a program thrive. Can't say enough good things about Coach Hunt.- Thoughts on Switching From Rawlings to Spalding Softballs
Current sanctioned balls are not durable at all, but the KHSAA does not care about longevity of the mandated equipment…it's about the contract terms and nothing more. When you have a salesman at your office, buying you nice lunches to buy their product, but you don't actually use the product or test it….I believe that is by definition "free lunch"- Pendleton County 35 Augusta 0
It wasn't the losing team I was referring to. ….the jury rests….- Pendleton County 35 Augusta 0
If, what you are implying is that having a "mercy rule" is "wussification", then you are part of the problem with sports and in particular sportsmanship. You don't get it….and to be honest it's not worth a lot of effort to attempt to explain it, you obviously already know it all.- Dixie Heights 2 Newport Central Catholic 1 (8 Innings)
Good Lawd…..:ohbrother:- Dixie Heights 2 Newport Central Catholic 1 (8 Innings)
Had that one for a triple off the bat…..like the ball had a string on it. She had zero chance of catching that ball. Great play.- Highlands 4 Notre Dame 0
….and moving toward first base through the center of the infield. Should end up somewhere stationary behind the pitchers mound, around 20 - 25 feet from the call.- Highlands Ryle Woodford County round robin
Heard similar, not exactly, but similar...not doubting you at all. I think NKY has a whole bunch of games this weekend and then you add the pristine weather for this week and some district seeding games...what you got there is a whole bunch of scheduling.... I'm confident it will all work out. RCC9 is on the job !- Highlands Ryle Woodford County round robin
Originally scheduled time for first game....was this a change ? Probably has some impact on other schedules in NKY- Kevin Siple is out at Grant County - (Title Updated - It is Official)
Seems very plausible....and then, well, then there's the UK#1 version of life and football and at times it is very, very different than actual reality....- Kevin Siple is out at Grant County - (Title Updated - It is Official)
They will likely be All-Americans now...that was close, could have wasted all that talent....- Kevin Siple is out at Grant County - (Title Updated - It is Official)
I would generally disagree with you on this point. You might be very surprised at what an M.Ed. can do for you on the outside, in particular in the HR field. If you chose correctly, and didn't choose the pure educational certification, an M.Ed. can be 6 figure lucrative with some hustle.- Pig Williams to Conrad Basketball Academy
This is a very strong post. Thank you for being direct. I would agree. If the Shawnee and K-State options were still on the table, I'm not sure why he wouldn't have jumped on those ? I would seriously question any options stronger than the two listed above. Too many extraneous unknowns to take that risk I would guess. I wish nothing but the best for this kid. He made a mistake, while in high school, that could impact his life dramatically. I fully understand this situation and hope he gets on track.- Pendleton County 35 Augusta 0
