couple that with a tough region in what I think will be a vastly improved Monroe team and playing Central just to get to Bowling green and Belfry or Lex Cath or Boyle will be waiting.....Geez 3A is going to be a monster next year!!!

Paducah Tilghman Plays Bowling Green and Central Hardin along with Mayfield, McCracken, Graves next year. This young team better do some work this off-season to get ready for another tough schedule.

As I've stated in another thread. PT was not healthy Friday. I don't think they would have beat SW but it would have been much more competitive. The QB was 60% at best with a severe high ankle sprain. Plus various other dings. SW front seven were stout. In 5a I think there out in the second round.

So you really think SW is better than highlands,reitz,graves,McCracken,madisonville,or mayfield? I really don't think so. PT scheduled Bowling Green next year. As well as Central Hardin. Keep playing cupcakes. We will keep playing up. PT probably had its smallest team in decades this year. Still made it to region finals. That's what we do. Good luck against central. Central will win IMHO.

You just proved my point. They are 5a schools we schedule to get ready for 3a playoffs. Because you don't know the situation about the QB you wouldn't understand. He was about 60%if that. He has a sprained ligament in his ankle wich is why he wasn't very mobile. Whatever I officially will go out of my way now to root for whomever is playing South. Your school is new and I guess your new to the game as well. Like I said keep it classy.

I'm pretty sure I said SEVERAL times they were the better team. Not using a crutch. Some people get soooo upset when people point out the obvious. Sorry if I hit a nerve. Especially since their is a whole other thread that is devoted to nothing but the disparity in the enrollment numbers. I will say it again South was the better team on that night. I have watched PT against way better competition this year. It is my OPINION that the game would have been more competitive with a healthy QB. I'm sure if you watch football you understand what I'm saying. If not im starting to understand what everyone is saying about South Warrens fan base and how classless they are. Congrats to South. No I don't think privates should be separate. South is the best team from the region no doubt. Just don't act like it doesn't matter when you have more than 100 more boys to chose from in this sport. Fact is Sparta won. In my mind they were the better team. Not sour grapes. We don't act like that at PT. Never have. South had sour grapes after last years game. There are no PT posters on here taking anything away from South. Facts are facts. If this team wins 3a they will always have an asterisk by their name as far as I'm concerned. When a team is playing with a stacked deck it happens. Just don't act like its a non issue and insult people's intelligence. That's why we have classes. Period end of discussion.

South is a good team. PT QB got hurt last week. I was afraid he hadn't healed. Clearly this was the case. He was totally ineffective. It's asking a lot to compete with his injury against that defense. I'm not sure PT would have won but with him healthy it is a different game. Congrats South. Go win 5a eerrrrr I mean 3a

Todays snow got me thinking. Which teams have indoor training facilities? Does your team practice no matter what the weather?

Can Tilghman reclaim the lightning in a bottle they had in the 09 season? Very similar years by comparison. I say this because they have yet to put a whole game together yet have only gave up 14 points in 3A play while averaging 48 on O. Is this team capable of winning at SW on the road and then going to either Corbin or Central and shocking the 3A community and making it back to BG?

I was telling some in the crowd last night that if we were playing at this level game 1, McCracken game is much closer. Football is about match ups. I don't know much about SW but what is their secondary like? I know the strength of the D is the front seven. How is the O line?

Just ask Paducah Tilghman if their schedule prepared them for the playoffs?

Last year this was an epic battle coming down to a last second field goal attempt by South that missed wide left. This years South team is undefeated against a very suspect schedule but ranked #1 in 3A. PT has played a brutal schedule and lost a lot to graduation and are small and don't have but 32 dressed and a new coach and a new system. Should be a tough game for PT to pull out on the road. What say you?

like i said. The Monroe game was not an indication of how good this team is. 10 sec into the 2nd half it was a running clock in this game. Adair got one score on a counter GT that caught the def. off guard. went for 70 yards. Other than that really no offense to speak of. Congrats to Adair on a great season. They have some good athletes. PT is extremely small and have low numbers this year. Im not sure how were going to match up with South. If the QB can't go next week, were in trouble. He tweaked his knee in the second QTR. last night. Didn't play in the second half. Could be a high ankle sprain. not sure. He is a warrior and will not sit but will not be close to 100% for sure. Either way I think PT has opened some peoples eyes this year. They have gotten better each week and had one heck of a schedule. Coach Rogers has done an outstanding job with limited resources for sure.

South might handle PT. First thing is first. Tonight we will see where we stack up. Adair is a solid team. Its cold as heck and should be in the 20's come game time. Possession's are going to be at a premium. If PT can catch the ball this game will not be close. If they cant then it will only be a 2 score game. PT will have to grind it out on the ground which they are very capable in doing against Adair. Im going to say 35-14 PT. Good luck to both teams and may everybody go home healthy tonight!!!

They got it handed to them most of the year. Let the playoffs begin. Every year there is that one team that thinks their world beaters because they have never had success and schedule weak comp. and are undefeated come playoff time. PT has been doing this for 100 years. If we lose we lose. But we have a shot to make it to BG. Its a small one given this years team but hey, that's why we play the game isn't it? Coach was making a statement by sitting out 8 players. Some stuff Randy let happen wont under Rodgers. With this roster the fact that this team has done as well as they have speaks volumes about the direction of this program. Give coach 3 more years and PT will have the numbers and talent to dominate 3A like they have in the past. If the city gives him some money to hire coaches on top of that they will be able to compete with anyone in the state besides the Louisville super district. All players will be available this Friday and I will be surprised if Adair score more than 7.

PT played vanilla ball. No need to show anything against a very weak Monroe team. Monroe is awful. Wont really show anything against Adair either. Saving all gameplan film for South Warren. Believe me when i say. PT will give South a run. If we lose it wont be more than a Td.

Looks about right. I have a feeling Russellville will give south warren all it wants Friday if not beat them. If and I mean if South handles them with ease they are deserving of the number one spot. I also see Belfry losing this week and Corbin for my Parlay bet ....LOL If this happens what will that do to the 3A polls?
