  1. Field Goal Kicker. Lots of pressure with games riding on the hit or miss.
  2. I dont think they would have won if it was 85 and sunny.
  3. He is currently a junior. Come football season he will be a senior.
  4. North Hardin is now in John Hardin's district. Big rivalry game.
  5. Ed, Lets review what we have returning. Coaching: Mark Brown is a great coach who can't and won't be denied. A losing season for the Dawgs isn't in the cards for 2011. Brown is good on making something out of nothing and getting it done. No one expected our team to go 13-1 last year with the returners we had. We start this year with close to double the amount of seniors we had last year. One of the reasons Brown reloads instead of rebuilding is due to the fact he gets the younger guys on the field to play. Instead of leaving the starters in to rack up unbelieveable stats he pulls them after halftime on most occasions and lets the underclassmen play for two quarters. I'm guessing at least 8 games last year starters were pulled at half or early third quarter. Getting the kids on the field is big. Offense: QB Mitchell 1678 yards passing with 21 TD's not to shabby. Mitchell should improve on his numbers after getting a year of starting under his belt. RB Jermey Harness 1526 yards rushing, 580 yards receiving and 23 TD's. This kid is a stud and will be playing on Saturdays somewhere in 2012. FB Quinsie Brown had 842 yards rushing with 12 TD's and has the wheels to be moved to RB beside Harness to help fill the void left by Savoy. Quinsie has college potential. OL we lost three seniors who rotated in the lineup with three juniors. We will be a senior dominated line next year. We have Patrick Crowe returning who was (2nd team AP all state at guard). He should also make it to the next level if he continues to work hard. Junior Blake Cordell returns to anchor the line at tackle. We will need some replacement receivers to step up after losing senior Pickerrell who accounted for 545 yards and 4 TD's. Defense: We return 5 Starters. Meldon Mabini returns on the D-line. Meldon will only get better in the off season after posting 58 tackles. We have three returning sophomores. Dominick Brown, Wade Holtsclaw and Jalen Fleming. All three can flat out play. Brown has the size to be a D-1 Linebacker. If he continues to improve the next two years after posting 89 tackles he very well might do it. Fleming is quick and hits hard. He posted 85 tackles on the year. Sophomore DB Wade Holtsclaw returns (AP all state honorable mention DB). This kid is stud status. He has incredible closing speed and is a sure tackler. He was 2nd on the team in tackles with 101 behind Senior DL Jeff Richard who had 104. Holtsclaw will be another lock to make it to college if he continues to improve and gains size. Quinsie Brown will return to play Safety after posting 31 tackles last year. Juniors Kyle Laing, Blake Cavinee, Mark Thompson, John Haw will be counted on to fill the Defensive voids. All 4 of these Juniors seen lots of playing time on defense. I like what we have returning and expect our team to do very well. Just like the kids say "Win 15". I'm on board. :ylsuper: All stats provided by KHSAA.
  6. Should be another outstanding year for the Dawgs. I do believe this could be the biggest senior class John has ever had. 30 seniors next year and 26 juniors. Key loses are Savoy at RB, Wright at CB, Richard and Linton DL. We should be able to reload with upperclassman. We have several College bound prospects coming up through the program. Expectations are very high in E-town for 2011. Anything less than State will be a disappointment. Go Dawgs.
  7. Imo I don't think anyone out of the west expected such a lopsided victory. Congrats once again birds.
  8. Congrats Highlands you sure surprised a lot of people in the west including me.
  9. I remember a Highlands fan on a previous post say "We only drink blue cool aid in Ft. Thomas". Lol. I say most on the poll have plenty of reasons to drink all the cool aid they want and some. I wish someone could ship some down to Hardin County so we can start to get our drink on. :notworthy:
  10. What a great game. My hats off to Anderson for playing with heart and giving all they had. John was slowed by a muddy sloppy field. I'm glad we got out with a win and get to take it back to the dawg pound next week for semi state.
  11. The dawgs are getting it done on both sides of ball.
  12. I've seen John Hardin, Ballard, and Bell County play. In MY OPINION John and Ballard would SMOKE them, kill them, drill them, own them, plant them, pwn them and send Bell packing back to the mountains. Remember this is my opinion and you would be wasting your time if you want to argue because they are not playing each other. :jump:
  13. Can Oldham Co. come to the Dawg pound and get a win? who wins and why?
  14. Centrals only score came off a fumble by our 2nd team offense on Centrals 10 yard line. They scored on the 2nd team defense. Wallace had kicked two field goals up to that point. John pulled it's starters midway through the 3rd quarter.
  15. We lost quite a few seniors last year, with QB being our biggest loss. We have both Rb's back from last year and have replaced other key personnel with quality players. Junior QB Eli Mitchell is playing well running the offense.
  16. John Hardin will be the team to beat in the west. They will play at home all the way through the playoffs.
  17. I think the Dawgs are a little under estimated this year. I like it that way.
  18. There were a LOT of people watching that game. You could have come sat in the 1st base bleachers with me. Spalding was very impressive. It was a rough tourney for the KBC. They gave up too many unearned runs and didnt hit very well as a team.
  19. Were you there in Jupiter Engineer? 450 scouts seems a little far fetched to me.
