  1. Good win by Boone County. Offense finally stepped up and o-line got things going this week. From what I heard Cooper kept Ryle run game in check and it was a close game. I think Boone dominated Cooper all game. Once again they allow a td on within the first minute of the game. That has happened in 6 or 7 games. Doesn't make sense. Bradely had a good game. He's a much better back then I expected.
  2. How do you say Cooper is terrible when they lost to Ryle of a touchdown with 2 minutes left. All games this season in this district are close. Boone isn't much behind Ryle or Sk. People seem to forget Boone beat a great Henry Clay team by 9 and Sk beat them by 3. If Boone's o-line steps up like they did tonight they can beat Ryle and Sk. If the offense can put up points the defense will step up. The defense feeds of the offense.
  3. Ryle's defence bends but does not break, Court Mace will make Chad Lawrence leave with a migrane!
  4. I will take Boone in this one although I am very excited about Cooper's team this year. I'm glad to see them turn that program into success so quickly, can't lie i was doubting Cooper at the start of the season but they really have turned my head. I can't see Boone losing this game though. They have beaten two of the top teams in the state and lost to two very bad teams in my opinion. But whats that make Boone if they lost to Campbell and Conner? Boone can't stop the pass thus far, and Cooper can't throw it. Cooper can stop the run and thats all Boone does. Should be an interesting one to watch. I expect low scoring and great defense being played.
  5. What in the world are you talking about? By no means is Sk a powerhouse. They won district one time in the past decade which was last year? Dominating? Not exactly. Once Lawrence is gone they have nothing left. Lawrence is one of the best Qbs in the state in my opinion. With him gone they are nothing.
  6. The main problem is coaching. The so called "tradition" need's to be addressed and fixed quick! Everyone is passing Boone County by. I believe in Boone's coaches and have for years. I don't believe in the way they do things though. The Qb situation being the main problem. He's not suite for the postion. He had I think 5 attempts on Friday, and I think 2 completions and one interception. That will never get it done. I thought after the Highlands game they would be ready for districts and take the first 3 games with ease. Obviously I was wrong. Scheduling must be fixed in order for them to rebuild the program. I love seeing teams who try to beat the best, but in Boone's case it's not going to work. They need some easy games to start the season off to build confidence heading into districts. Best of luck to the Boone County team though the rest of the season. Hope they can turn it around.
  7. It's the "Hot Tub Time Machine" Offense, the same thing over and over. The talent is there, you have one of the better TE in the area and he never gets used to his ability. New QB and spread everything out, then when Opp. gets a lane he will run people over. It's a shame and very frustrating. 3rd and long and you run a QB sneak or QB draw, the only reason the QB scored last night was because it was a broken play and Opp. threw a great block to set him free. Boone may not win another game unless some personel changes are made.
  8. Agree with everything being said. Thompson IS the reason for Boone's struggles. Both of them. Little Thompson has zero work ethic from what I've heard. He does as he pleases and is treated like a son and not a football player at practice. As everyone says, life isn't fair. Which it's not. But for the seniors that work there hardest to leave the field after the Dixie game on Oct 29 with a good record and ready to compete in the playoffs, it's sad. Not fair to anyone on that team. Boone is a good team, no one will convince me otherwise. No one can convince me that they don't work as hard or harder than any team in Nky. And for a season to spoil over 2 people, it's just not fair. It's also not so much that Little Thompson has no ability to play Qb, it's the fact that he does not work as hard or even close to any player on that team. It's hard to respect your Qb and head coach when one is treated like God at practice and the coach is stuck on "Tradition" of Boone running the football. Time has passed and Boone isn't up to date with it yet, until they are. It's downhill.
  9. Nky has very good football but hardly ever is there a legit condender. Ryle was 4 or 5 years ago when they went to state. Boone was 3 years ago. Other than that there are no condenders in 6A, especially this year. Boone is falling each year due to the head coach. Conner is Conner, they play nobody, boost up the record a bit and get nowhere. Sk had 2 good seasons, other than that, who is Simon Kenton? And Ryle is making strides in the right direction each year. Injuries have hurt this year and I don't think they have reached there expectations quite yet but they will. Cooper is on the rise but not yet there. And CC I have no anwer for. In 5A Highlands is Highlands. They know how to win, they have the best coaches, they're GOOD. In my opionion best in the state. Yes in front of X and T. Dixie is overrated every year. There is no commitment or dicipline there. Just plenty of individuals.
  10. I'll take Sk in this one. It should be very close though.
  11. I'll take Ryle in this one, but i predicted a huge when for Ryle and Boone last week and look what happend. Ryle has a way better line and better Dbs then Boone so I think they should handle CC pretty easy. I may be wrong though. I think the district is wide open this year and each team other than Ryle and Conner should fight for a playoff spot. 2-4 is WIDE open.
  12. I agree. I just don't see how a team like Boone can beat Henry Clay and Scott County at there field and loose to CC. Congrats to Campbell on the win. They look to be getting better as the season goes on. Until Thompsons out at Qb and they learn to throw the ball to the biggest TE in NKY with GREAT hands it's downhill from here. I can't stand to watch a group of kids who work so hard and loose due to coaching and the Qb situation.
  13. Boone is not nearly as good as I thought. My mistake, I truely did not expect this one. Until Boone changes up how they do things it's down hill from here on out. The first two games they looked great. I think terrible scheduling and coaching is the reason for this the last 3 games.
  14. Sk isn'd dead in the water but they are nowhere near the team of last years. I do believe Sk finishes the season 6-4 though. With losses to Ryle no doubt. And Boone County has a strong team this year. Much better than last years, there schedule hurt them early but it got them ready for district games. They beat HC by 9 and Sk won due to a last minute fumble in the redzone by HC. I believe it will be a low low low scoring game with great defense but Boone comes out with the win.
  15. I can see Cooper getting a district win this season although I think its highly unlikely. I don't believe Conner is that good this season. I believe there record is a bit misleading each year. I think Cooper will get beat down by Ryle but hopefully they can get a good game out've it. As for Cooper against Boone and Sk, i think it will be closer than the past two years but I don't see it happening. Cooper is better than Campbell and played very good against them last year so we will see how that plays out for them.
  16. Is it possible to not make a team of that caliber?
  17. Yeah.. Just like last year everyone thought they could win and they put up 3 points.
  18. Sorry actually 8th and they lost to the #1 ranked team in Ohio, this was last weeks AP poll. DIVISION I 1, Cle. Glenville (10) 3-0 203 2, Cin. Colerain (4) 3-0 164 3, Lakewood St. Edward (3) 3-0 156 4, Hilliard Davidson (3) 3-0 133 5, Cin. Moeller (2) 3-0 112 6, Pickerington Cent. (2) 3-0 91 7, Middletown 3-0 67 8, Cin. Anderson (1) 3-0 59 9, Solon 3-0 57 10, Centerville 3-0 54
  19. Ryle 100-0 if Coach Warner wants it to be that way. Ryle will choose what they want the score to be. Cooper stands no chance.
  20. Crazy how everyone thinks Boone is so bad by getting beat by the best team in the state and the 7th best in Ohio? But once they started 2-0 everyone was saying how good they were. CC is the worst team on Boone's schedule besides Cooper. Boone will completely dominate and destroy the Camels. Not one team in Nky can beat Highlands or Anderson and or even play with them other than Ryle. Everyone wants to talk how good Sk is and Boone beat Clay by 3 times as much as Sk did. Campbell County will be destroyed in this game without a doubt.
  21. Actually Anderson was 8th, this is the poll week of 9/13 DIVISION I 1, Cle. Glenville (10) 3-0 203 2, Cin. Colerain (4) 3-0 164 3, Lakewood St. Edward (3) 3-0 156 4, Hilliard Davidson (3) 3-0 133 5, Cin. Moeller (2) 3-0 112 6, Pickerington Cent. (2) 3-0 91 7, Middletown 3-0 67 8, Cin. Anderson (1) 3-0 59 9, Solon 3-0 57 10, Centerville 3-0 54
  22. By the AP poll in the Enquirer last week, Middletown was 8th in the state. I think Moeller was 4th. Colerain #2. I do know Glenville was #1. Not sure what day it was in there, but I know it was last week.
  23. Going into the Glenville game Anderson was ranked #7 in Ohio.
