Cov Cath will pull out a win on Sr nite. Sr. nites are always special times in the gym in Park Hills. Buttels a question - Will you be broadcasting any of the pre-game festivities honoring the Sr's?

He does not play in this league but St Joes Cold Spring has a stud playing 6th grade for them. Saw him last year and then again this past Saturday in the David Morehead Tournament at Pius. Last name is Duffy. Big body with amazing body control. Can shoot from outside as well as dominant inside. Also strong handles for a big body. Do not know anything else about him. Many in the stands were wondering how old he is as he looks much older.

I agree about Guru. For those that want to try Indian food for the first time, I recommend going to Guru during lunch. They have a nice buffet with a variety of foods and spice levels. Go there several times a month with guys from work. Speaking of spice levels, some Indian restaurants will differentiate between 'Indian hot' and 'American hot' Be careful as Indian is quite a bit hotter than american! Believe me I learned! :lol:

I was going to say, I think it is the biggest for the Red Colonels. I do not think the Blue Colonels feel it is their biggest rival.

Pius and Holmes 6th grade boys was a great game at Sharp last nite. Back and forth all nite. Holmes I had heard was undefeated going into the game so most expected it to be a cakewalk. Score went back and forth all game. Pius down one with 6 seconds left, floater along the baseline went half way down and came out with less than a second left, preserving the win for Holmes. While the officiating was questionable most of the game, it was the same for both teams. Great game to watch. Caught the second half of the Gray Campbell boys 6th game before the Holmes / Pius. Gray was up by like 14, but Campbell battled back to make it close as Gray tried to give the game away, but they were able to hold on and defeat Campbell.

Just realized that when Cov Cath plays Withrow this Friday at Withrow, it is part of a 3 game evening. The game following theirs involves non other than Huntington Prep - which is the team Andrew Wiggins plays for. Wonder how many BBN fans will be in attendance. Migth be a fun evening for only $10. Tickets are available in the high school main office for anyone interested in attending the game versus Withrow at Withrow High School on Friday January 25. Tickets are $10. The tip is scheduled for 7:30. There will be three games that night starting as follows: 6:00 pm Dayton Dunbar vs. Summit Country Day 7:30 pm Covington Catholic vs. Withrow 9:00 pm Huntington Prep vs. Aiken

I think Pius and IHM are the only two who do.

I just saw the Pius 7th only lost two games in regular Season - to Conner early in the year, and to Ockerman the other nite. I would have to consider them a strong team in the 7th grade.

I would not count Ockerman sixth grade as a strong team. Maybe 7th and 8th - I did not stay and watch.

Ok understood - but were there administrators there? Did they not sense this sarcasm that you who were in attendance were bothered by? If Fans and parents were bothered, I would think administrators who are in a position to stop it, would have been bothered as well.

Wow - it is hard for me to admit, but I do feel for the Highlands players. That is really sad that their peers, classmates, etc who they I am sure cheered for when they won the state title in football - jeered them. I can only imagine how my son would feel if that happened, or how I would feel as a parent if I witnessed this. I do have one question though - Were there any Highlands administrators present? Did they say something to the students? I would certainly hope that they would recognize the pain this caused and tried to put a stop to it as quickly as possible. Doesn't sound like that happened so I am assuming there were none present.

Not sure how many Sr's are on retreat this weekend, but during those weekends it seems numbers are down.

Was curious how the game ended, so went to the video on the tourney web site- looks like the block by young Mr Schuh with 6 seconds left was a huge play, and potential game saver. Good job Bo !!!
