Friday Holmes plays Beechwood @ Holy Cross at 6:00PM As far as the region, the exact schedule/match-ups wont be set until all district games are final. However the Region will be at NKU first round games will be at 6:00 and 8:00 PM on March 4th and 5th, Semi's are at 2:00 and 4:00PM on March 8th, and the finals are at 8:30PM on the March 10th. I believe the 10th region final will be played right before the 9th region final.

Exactly, hopefully Eli will understand why he started out on the pine tonight and he can get his act together... It is to crucial a time of the season to have your best or second best player on the bench for these type of things.

I am a Newport fan tonight but it will take alot for them to pull this one out. They definately didn't do much to impress me vs Dayton, I know they are better than they played that night, but can they go from playing that bad, to playing good enough to be Highlands in 48 hours? I don't think so, but I have been wrong before. My heart says Newport will win, but my head says Highlands by 10

Boone should win the district. Boone and Ryle will probably be the two that will represent the district in the regional tournament. Simply because Conner has imploded in Feb. The Cougars are 1-6 this month with the only win coming against Cooper. I don't think they will have what it takes to get past Ryle tonight.

Holmes should win this game pretty easily. Beechwood is a solid team but they don't match-up with Holmes. Hopefully coach Henley can get the troops ready and get a "statement" win heading into the region. Beechwood isn't going to lay down for them though, hopefully it will be entertaining but at the end of the day I will go with Holmes by 15.

Classless but funny. Dom even looked at them and applauded there way tonight. I don't think players care about what the student sections say during the game, it makes for a good atmosphere, but I do think they here every word ha ha. By the way, isn't there a rule about artificial sound somewhere in the rule book. Everytime Holmes was at the line there was a horn being blown, and a drum being beat tonight. Isn't that illegal?

I agree with you 110% and I feel the same way about Arnold. He has 5 or 6 T's this season, if not more. He has to know where to draw the line, he is either getting to agressive, letting pride get in the way of making smart decisions, or winding up in the wrong place at the wrong time nearly every time he is on the court. He has to ability to correct 2 of those 3, if he can correct those he wont have to worry about the third, problem is the rep is established this season, lucky for him he won't be dealing with 9th region ref's who may or may not have "labeled" him if they get to rupp. He will have an opprotunity then to correct the other 2.

What exactly did you notice in 31, Dom Johnson's, game that you didn't like as far as how he carried himself?

Already developed, he looked at Henley when the T was called tonight with a look of confusion and frustration and you could hear him from where I was sitting say "Why me, it happens everytime I play aggressive, you say play hard and when I do this happens" He was obviously frustrated and upset with himself and he definately knows that he has a rep.

The highlands incident from what I know of the situation talking to people close to Arnold goes like this, He spotted up, heard Coach yell he can't shoot, he knock down the triple and looked over at the coach and smiled... He never even said a word, this is coming from him and another player that was near by.

One of those games was senior night, the other was toinght... I don't think either had to do with defensive capability from what I have seen and heard...

Yes, I believe he was the only one from the 9th nominated, but Ricardo Johnson and Elijah Pittman could not be nominated as for they are only juniors.

Pep talk... It is hard to chew someone out when you are up 8, but they will definately hear what they did wrong.

SK seems to be sticking around a little better than I thought they would. Its still early but I was expecting Holmes to have a decent lead by now
