Boone is determined to win this year after disappointments the past few seasons. The Rebs are playing at a top 10 level in KY right now IMO. So, I'm not going out on a limb to say Boone as 33rd champion. It will be a cakewalk to the finals for the Rebs by dispatching Cooper or Heritage in the semis. Then, they get the Ryle-Conner winner in the finals. If history repeats itself, Conner will upset Ryle, who has smashed them twice this year. I'll go against history and say Ryle by 4 over Conner. But, noone will be surprised if the Cougars prevail and continue their pattern of losing regular seasons and a little bit of success in the playoffs. Then, Boone by 12 over Ryle in the championship. No need to project a score in the Boone vs Cooper/Heritage contest.

Every year Jimmy Hicks has his team prepared for Districts. I have only seen Conner once this year and it was the first time they played Conner. They looked very good. I haven't seen Ryle but saw them quite a bit last year and was very impressed with what they had coming back. I'd like to say Jimmy Hicks does it again becaues I think he's one of the best coaches in the region, but I'll say Mitch McCliesh and Andy Ahern are too much for the Cougars.

Ryle 57

Conner 52

Boone should win the district. Boone and Ryle will probably be the two that will represent the district in the regional tournament. Simply because Conner has imploded in Feb. The Cougars are 1-6 this month with the only win coming against Cooper. I don't think they will have what it takes to get past Ryle tonight.
