Agree, but thats where the lack of any depth comes into play. If they could have went offense for defense with some subs, used some time outs stratigically there then they may have been able to avoid that 5th foul, but when you only play 5 guys it is tough.

I will tell you from a Holmes fan's perspective I think that there may have been a walk there prior to the foul, however Knipp got the benifit of the doubt two times previously down the floor. You just can't play that wrecklessly with 4 IMO. But that is all I will say about that. Bottom line is that foul, whether it was good or bad, did not determain the outcome of the game.

When they won the state championship in football in I believe 2007, they walked from papa johns stadium to as far as the eye could see playing music and dancing the whole way. It was the band, cheerleaders, dancers, and students. It was an awsome sight. Being a Holmes fan however, I don't want to see that sight tonight ha ha ha

Holmes has surprising speed, not really the amazing quickness that you see in those shifty players. They are not the Allen Iverson fast where they will run circles around you, they are more of the LeBron James fast, they will get to the rim and up and down the court way faster than you think. If that makes any sense.

Great game by Elliott Co, keep your heads up and best of luck to all the seniors. Holmes, great game, but don't hang your hat on this one. One more win to complete the goal that you set out to complete and to get that sour taste out of our mouth from last season. Lets go Dawgs.

Lets go bulldogs... After a heartbreak ending last year, lets finish the road to redemption and bring one back for the 9th and all of N.KY to celebrate.

We had the same issues, we went in back to back and let them know at the time of the purchase we wanted to be together and the lady at the ticket window did a great job taking care of us.

I watched Vee all tounament last year and I watched him today, I like him, but was not impressed with the rest of the Lex Cath team.

Holmes is the real deal fella's those of you in attendance today seen a very balanced attack, but Holmes has 3 guys that at any time can take over offensively in Pittman, Rico, and Riley. Defensively they are sound across the board, and if they get hot from outside it could get ugly. If they can hold Vee Sanford to a good game instead of a surreal game Holmes should win.

All I know is Holmes was in foul trouble early and often and dealt with it better than I expected they would if foul trouble arised. They had 4 guys over double digits and one with 9. This was a complete effort from the dawgs offensively and defensivly, I just hope the lack of depth doesn't get them in trouble. Henley doesn't wanna go any more than 8 deep.

Leaving NKY at about 10am Thursday, will be in Lexington by 11, grab a bite to eat, then I will be there for the first session before checking into my hotel on Nicholasville road. I will be there until hopefully saturday night.

I am 6'5 and I think standing next to Pittman from Holmes he is 6'8 easy and Rico and JJ are both my height, Rico maybe slightly taller...

Not looking ahead at the game, Christian Co is definately the only team I am worried about right now, but since the thread is here and I am bored I will speak on it.

Holmes will be the best team that Elliott has played maybe outside of Cedar Hill. I could say all I want about Holmes D and how if need be they will run, but bottom line is there offensive strenght isn't running, but if a break opprotunity is there they will take it. They run sets, they play great half court defense and they get it done vs. whatever tempo presents itself. They have played vs up tempo teams, they have played vs balanced teams, they have played vs slow down team and they have done nothing but won. Not discounting Elliott Co by any stretch of the immagination, I have only heard about them never seen them and everything I have heard has been good. I think if these two played it would be a good game and I don't think the tempo would change the fact that two good teams would be going all out and the game would be close either way.

I don't think there would be an intentional slow down, Holmes would get back and play there half court sets on D which may or may not cause Elliott to slow down a little bit, Holmes would try to play within themselves offensively but if break opprotunities presented themselves I am sure they would take them. I don't see the game being in the 80's or 90's like Elliott may want it but low to mid 70's doesn't seem out of the question. I think upper 60's to low 70's is where Holmes would prefer to be anyway not 32 :lol:

I remember that Henderson Co game as well, Holmes did give up some outside jumpshots, however that was before there perimeter defense really stepped up. With games in the districts and regions against teams that can light it up like Beechwood and New Cath, the Bulldogs really got out to gaurd and give them fits. They can pack it in with there size or get out on shooters with the athleticism. The D has really taken strides in the last month or so, and while people say the offense has had some let downs, it is because teams hold the ball, I have seen one possession (in the NCC game) that lasted 1:46. That was every N.Ky team's goal against the Dawgs this season, when the stepped away from the N.Ky games and played teams like Bryan Station, Scott Co., Tates Creek, Seneca, and Franklin Co. they proved they can get up in the 70 and win. Also FYI, Holmes has scored 100+ points more than anyone in the 9th and are averaging right around 60 game even though 1/2 of there schedule wanted to stall it out against them.
