  1. Ah Ha! http://www.kentucky.com/813/story/758492.html
  2. There are only 4 kids listed on that page? Are there more?
  3. Will someone post a lkink to the Herald Leader's All-State team?
  4. Yeah, I think Weir has been Lincoln's Ace since he was a Freshman. He is now a Junior and that much experience can be tough to beat.
  5. How did Polson from West Jessamine get left out of Honorable mention?
  6. Great work Bat-Pats! Keep it up. 7 games in a row is very impressive!:thumb:
  7. congrats to all that made the All-State teams... 12th Region... Aaron Watts (McCreary Central) Second Team Ethan Spurlin (Lincoln County) Honorable Mention
  8. I would love to get some more info on this game... Anyone have any?
  9. What does that take Lincoln Co.'s record to? I listened to it on the radio some. Washington Co. was up 6 to 4 and Lincoln came back to take the lead in the 6th innning.
  10. I can tell you right now... There are a lot of High School coaches that are not looking for a job that get contacted by schools about openings.
  11. This is a great list. I would definatly not have Rockcastle that high on my list, and Lincoln Co. will surprise some teams next season. I think Jarrod Polson & West Jessamine have to be the #1 team for pre-season rankings in the 12th. They should win their District. McCreary Central will be 1A (2) as long as Aaron Watts returns next season. MC should be their District's Winner. I don't think the next wave of teams have nearly the shot at contending for the 12th Region title that the top two schools do... Wayne Co. Should be 3 with Gavin Dunagan pacing them. Wayne Co. should be their District's Runner-up. Danville 4 being lead by Jacody Taylor should the the 45th District Champs. Then I like Lincoln Co. to be 5. Lincoln returns 2 starters and their 6th man from last years team (Long, Allison, & Hill) They also will start Trent Edgington (Soph.) at the point. Trent will be taking over for his brother Trevor Edgington who graduates this year. Also, Lincoln brings in a Strong Freshman Class that dominated for several years. That should bode well for the future. I know Lincoln loses the 12th Region Player of the year in Ethan Spurlin, but they lost three 1,000 point scorers the prior season and several had them counted out. They managed to get to the semi-finals of the 12th Region tourney in a loss by 3 to MC. Lincoln should be the 45th District Runner-up. I think Mercer Co. is a strong 6. Their Junior Class is strong with Clay Cinnamon leading them. Mercer should be a district Runner-up. Rockcastle Co. would be my 7th team. They got a taste of 12th Region Tournament games this season, and should be poised to make another apearance this year due to their lack of strength in the district. Rockcastle should be a District Winner going into the tournament. My 8th Team in the Rankings go to Casey Co. Mainly because they should return to the 12th Region Touranment next year (see comments on Rockcastle for why). They return several starters. They should be a District Runner-up going into the tournament.
  12. I am proud to see 12th Region Player of the Year Ethan Spurlin (Lincoln County) on the list of invities.
  13. I think this is an alumni scrimage, I don't think the kids are playing in it.
  14. Anyone have a final? The game was played in Stanford.
  15. Wow! West Jessamine makes it to the final 4 of the state tourney... gets beat by 5 points to Central and can't get in some of your top 10 teams in the state.:ohbrother:
  16. I think you have to add Danville and Mercer Co. to this thread. These are my Top 15 12th Region rankings as of today... 1. West Jessamine 2. McCreary Central 3. Wayne Co. 4. Lincoln Co. 5. Mercer Co. 6. Danville 7. East Jessamine 8. Pulaski SW 9. Casey Co. 10. Somerset 11. Boyle Co. 12. Pulaski Co. 13. Rockcastle Co. 14. Garrard Co. 15. Montecello
  17. No doubt. I think the numbers are already up (not to where they need to be, but up none-the-less). Coach Settles and his staff will have the program back to the glory years in no time.
  18. Thanks, I could not remember it! :thumb:
  19. Wow. That has to be an error in the score. Nobody is going to hang 33 on someone in HS Baseball are they?
  20. Right now it is the Left handed kid that backed up Tre & Drew last season. But I think Tre will have the job if he works hard for it.:thumb:
  21. I think the Reason Coach Jeff Jackson was named coach of the year was because he lost 3 1,000 point scorers off last seasons team (they won the 12th region) and still managed to take his team to the semi-finals of a better than advertised 12th Region. Also, The Lincoln County Boys won back to back 12th Region titles over the last two seasons and the 12th Region coach of the year was Robert Jones of McCreary Central. His teams did not manage to make it out of their district either season.
  22. SW 2 Lincoln 1 I am sure Brandon Weir will be pitching for Lincoln... That will be the only thing that keeps this one close.
  23. Tre Owens.
  24. This may be incorrect, but I was told ... For the 12th Region... Player Ethan Spurlin (Lincoln Co.) Coach Jeff Jackson (Lincoln Co.)
  25. You should see Lincoln Co. out of the 12th Region next year. :thumb:
