Brandon Weir picks up his second win of the season throwing a 2-hitter against a very good 12th Region opponent. Trey Edwards hit a two-run bomb for Lincoln, his first homer of the season. Lincoln extends their win streak to 7.

Who pitched for Mercer?

Great work Bat-Pats! Keep it up. 7 games in a row is very impressive!:thumb:

This games raises many questions. Is Lincoln County for real or did Mercer County just have one of those days? Or, is Mercer having a down year? They had a very good team last year and I thought they would be much of the same this year, but didn't see them losing to Lincoln County. Is Weir a dominant pitcher for Lincoln? Obviously he pitched really well to 2-hit Mercer. Good win for Lincoln County nonetheless.

Yeah, I think Weir has been Lincoln's Ace since he was a Freshman. He is now a Junior and that much experience can be tough to beat.

Mercer will be solid, but they did lose nine seniors off of last years squad.

Trent Hazelwood pitched for Mercer and pitched well he just had a shaky first inning but after that he was solid.
