First flight was 6:00 am. Going back and forth today. Arriving back home at midnight.

I never played HS ball but never heard of these games until my son was invited.

Exactly what is the importance of this game?

My son was invited a few years ago and wanted no part of going. I made him attend and he pretty much just went thru the motions. Season was over and he was done playing.

Gal I work with was a UCLA cheerleader. Whenever a team made it to the NCAA's they sent some cheerleaders. Well one year the Golf team (or player) made a run. She said she felt so awkward watching a golf match in her cheerleading outfit. No she didn't do any cheers.

And they still call them tryouts? Wonder why some kids don't attend?? It was mentioned in the other thread that most picks are predetermined anyway. I've witnessed the tryouts before. The little workout they do, can not help determine a kid making the team.

Thought that was settled midway thru last year? Some folks liked it and some didn’t.

Capital has been working the northern Kentucky area pretty hard over the last few years. Congrats to the young man.

Just checked out the website, the roster is huge! 23 kids plus 8 on the JV squad. Baby J. will be needed to get them some road wins!! I've heard nothing but great things about the school. I'm sure he will kick butt down there! 2017-18 Men's Basketball Roster - Midway University

I believe Belmont was there the night they played Brossart.

Why would the system change? A coach can go to an AAU tournament and see hundreds of quality kids versus going to a High School game and seeing 1-2. Plus the competition is better for the most part.

State polls are always a farce. Not enough direct competition to gauge the teams.

We go to get in the car Sunday to head to church. My wife phone gets a message. 7 minutes to St. Mary’s Church. Ok I know it tells you how far you are from home when you park elsewhere, but predictive location was creepy, especially since it was correct. By the way, it’s been one year since they started the Catholic movement. An effort to get folks back into church. If you have been absent from your church recently we encourage you to stop in and say hello.

Kids become adults at 18 or 21 depending on what laws we look at? Not sure how this applies to a young man who has had some chances and just lets them........

Turnover at WKU? I don’t believe it.

Fish truck came to Southern states today. Picked up a huge filet of halibut and some scallops that will get torched up tonight.

Hooking up a buddy with young kids to tickets to monster jam. Got him 6 tix and pit passes for the 1:00 show. I have 6 more in the evening if anyone wants them!

Working thru a couple issues at work today. Meeting my tax guy at 5:30 and planning on a refund so heading to Butcher and Barrel to use our Groupon to celebrate! (I hope).
