Aren’t these the same kids that play 5 AAU games in a weekend?

I’m normally OK with low scoring defensive battles, but after looking at shooting %’s I’m thinking this was no oil painting.

I worked at the Sports Arena during the early years. The out of town teams stayed at the Quality inn in Covnington. We held a hospitality suite for the coaches. Stan Steidel had a great vision!

Keep in mind this tournament started as a small invitational where 8 local teams played against 8 other small schools from down state. It morphed over time into what it has become today.

First time I’ve seen them play. I commented that I guessed some times they show up and some times they don’t. Many losses came from unknown to NKY teams. They could shock a team or lay an egg. Coach Listerman has them playing hard.

Holmes jumped out early and almost never looked back until the 4th when Brossart caught fire. Tons of fouls called in this game and both teams connected on the freebies. Holmes is much better than their record.

Bummer. Did they pull the offer or did they want him to attend with no scholly and go a 5th year?

A lot of times it is a chess match. They are looking for the best player and the athlete is looking for the school that best fits him. Sometimes a verbal commit after an offer is made might help secure the deal?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the deer population issue in Fort Thomas. :scared: Love it when kids get into different activities. It gives more kids a chance to be a part of a group.

An offer does not have to come along with a scholarship. They are basically saying they have a spot for you on their team. D3 teams such as TMC give many offers.
