I don’t know if it was the ref’s or whatever that caused RH to not play defense, the fact is they didn’t play it. Ashland had too many wide open looks at the basket. The difference in the game came at the end of the second quarter when Ashland reeled off about 13 unanswered points. RH never overcame that. When they attempted to come back hitting 3’s and making some great defensive plays, Biggs shut it down with the TO. Hopefully Rose Hill learned something from this game. Congratulations to Ashland. Let's play again in few days.

Fairview was the better team last night. Good win. Rose Hill couldn't throw the ball in the Ohio River.

Elliott Co. in the 16th. At least the past few years. All you have to do is set back and let the players coach themselves. The players have made the current coach look good.

There can be, all they need is a sponsor. The KHSAA doesn't run the All-A.

What if someone came to the coaches defense and said, "Let me say this. I've known Micah Grimes for a long time. He is a first class individual all the way. I know for a fact that he wouldn't purposely run up the score on Dallas Academy or any other school for that matter. Would this make a difference to anyone? Just asking.

You are probably right. I'm sure this is all about perspective. We Rose Hill fans who were at the game are probably basing their opinions on what we saw, LC pressing with starters into the fourth quarter, the leading scorer for LC returning into the game with two minutes left and shooting, half court trapping defense when up by fifty. The LC coach who is being accused of running up the score I'm sure has another perspective. I'm sure he has a good explanation for this.

Although this is not really the topic at hand, I would say your statement of RH's "large geographic area" placing them in a more unique enrollment situation is less than accurate with the practice of open enrolment. Elliott County also participates in this practice which makes your argument mute. I am not talking about any players, but the general student population. I believe EC has earned the right to keep this thread alive. But I will defend the practices of Rose Hill when challenged. I am not a moderator nor do I want to be one. But please keep your comments specific to the game and not at me or Rose Hill. I will be happy to debate this with you in another thread.

Is this about me? I've got nothing but respect for Elliott Co. I think the better team won the game and I do wish them luck in the state tournament. I just pointed out that all teams in this tournament are small schools. Trying to run with Elliott Co. will prove to be a lot of teams downfall. If teams, at least in this region, have a chance against them they need to slow the pace and pray that EC shoots poorly.

One would think. I checked scores back to 2002, the two teams have played six times. The previous largest margin of victory was 31 by Lawrence Co. The other games were very close. I'm sure this coach had something to prove, but pressing with starters in the game into the fourth quarter???????

I agree 100% Ram. I just tried to list coaches who have done a good job this season coaching the team they have.

I know everyone is bias to one team or another. I just thought the lack of objectivity was comical. Truth is apart from Elliott Co. anything can happen in this region.

It's funny how everybody else is ranked as to the way they are playing now, but Fairview is ranked based on their potential. I would think a proper analysis would use the same criteria for all teams.

It only took about an hour and forty five minutes from Cannonsburg. It really isn't that bad of a trip.

This game was tough to figure out. Even though Raceland kept it close, I think they actually were ahead at some point early in the second half, it never felt like they were going to win. Rose Hill was just too much. I kind of thought both teams wanted to play a slower paced game. But I don't know, a win is a win. The crowd was pretty good. Menifee County has a very nice facility. I thought it is bigger than Elliott County's Gym. I don't know how the evening crowd is. I left before the entire Elliott Co. Bandwaggon showed up.

I hope for the teams sake, they don't take their competition as lightly as their fans seam to be taking them. This may have been their downfall last year.

Great job on the win Royals. Gotta start hitting free throws though.
