spindoc
1. Elliott Co.- once again, even I can't mess that pick up 2. West Carter - beat Fairview to solidify themselves here 3. Rose Hill - reeled off 5 in a row including Ashland on the road 4. Bath - don't get in a tizzy, tonight will determine if they're 3 or 4. 5. Fairview - should be higher when healthy 6. Morgan - have reeled off 4 in a row, beat East by 9 7. Menifee - dropped one to Rowan, still solid campaign 8. East - never thought they'd be middle of the road, but where else can you put them? 9. Ashland - tough stretch, big game with Fairview may change their position 10 Greenup - Big win over Lewis 11. Lewis - will go as far as the PG takes them 12. Rowan - turning the corner, could be top 10 soon, big win over Menifee 13. Raceland - early exit from all-A, tough schedule looms ahead 14. Fleming - eeked out a win at home vs. Russell 15. Russell - good effort against Fleming, not enough 16. Boyd - should be top 5 in the region in baseball This week will determine how folks stack up since there are some head to heads awaiting teams. Have at it boys. This is simply the view from the King. Sometimes my hair gets in my eyes though.:scared: Only in America, baby!
mcpapa
Flip Bath and Rose Hill. Flip Morgan County and Fairview. Otherwise, from an outsider looking in, this poll looks pretty good. Only in Hitchins, baby (had a good friend who used to live there)!

Newman
We will see a lot of movement between spots 2 and 10 over the next month. Outside of Elliott, who is clearly the best, the rest of the region is very balanced.

Newman
After tonight will see how some fair. I suppose you are referring to the class A matchups. Elliott obviously will win by a large margin. The loser of the Rose Hill/Bath game won't drop much in any poll I wouldn't think. I believe as of today Don's poll is pretty much spot on. shutupandplay
Pretty good poll. I agree that 2 thru 10 will always be a work in progress. But If your looking at how teams are playing right now, it looks pretty good.
RA09
As bad as it seems for East Carter right now, I still say they are at worst the third best team in the region come tourney time.

If they face West in the district, could spell disaster for East.
sidelinedoc
King, I would agree with your assessment through 1/18/09, but it will start to reveal the cream of the crop starting tonight. We will find out if anyone will have anything for Elliott County come the first of March. And for your district draw scenario, Spindoc. That would be disasterous for East Carter. I wasn't even thinking about them playing West in a first round district game, but it is very possible.
Big Slick
And they may not get out of their district. If they face West in the district, could spell disaster for East. Very good point, the districts are highly uneven this season! But I still think Coach Baker and the Raiders are a very scary team come postseason, as is Morgan Co. in that district. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the district were played today wouldn't East play Elliott.:scared:
