Ferguson is the ype that you hope gets the ball and shoots it just so you can watch his shot. When a pure shooter makes it look good even when he misses you know that he is something special.

Just glad that the games are not decided through forums and people'e opinions.

Ballard will win this game by 12+. The post and guard play for Ballard will show the cards weaknesses.

They have two players right now contributing nicely (Flannery and Ison). The only way they will need a bench is if foul trouble occurs, which can very easily happen. Elliott's starting five will not get beat if it was up to conditioning; I have never seen them get tired or have I ever seen them be wore down by an opposing team. I am more worried about their first district game against East; IMO I think that it will be the hardest game they have until Rupp if they make it. I can't wait for it all to begin though. :banana:

I can't imagine what it will be like not having these boys around anymore. The thing that makes it better is that they are from one spot and haven't been shipped in to make a good team. It has been a pleasure to watch these boys mature into fine young men and take something throughout their life that no one can take away. Years from now they will think about all the good when they reflect back on what they have done. Thank you so much for all tht you have done for this small community.

Don't really know why so many arguments pertaining to the “what if's” scenario. Holmes should be punished for the loss to a team that wasn't even in the top 10. Elliott was 1 or 2 when they loss to Shelby Valley, when they got beat they dropped to 7th or 8th. Everyone was saying every time Elliott plays a quality team they get beat, when’s the last time Elliott won a significant game, when will Elliott schedule actual opponents in the state, and the list goes on. Last week Elliott beat too top ten teams (when they played Mason they were in the top ten) and they beat those opponents in dominating fashion. Elliott has proven that they are worthy of a top three spot IMO 3rd behind Holmes and Eastern, if Holmes beat Mason and Ballard by 14 and 15 points then I think there would a argument for them to be 1 or 2. How many people on here said that there is no way you are going to beat those two teams in a week, if you beat those teams then I am on the bandwagon, you better not overlook Mason; your crazy if you think they can't match up with Elliott, I could go on for days about the negativity. The best thing about Elliott when they are playing to their potential is the look on the people's faces in the visiting section; they are always in aww. I have seen a lot of people clap for these boys on the visitors section in the middle of their crowd. When I go to games I get the biggest kick out of watching that, they have never seen anything like it and they know that. Every doubter on this site if they make it to Rupp and play like they can, will have the same look on their face and it will be a pleasure to see.

Neither did Paintsville win they won the 96' state championship. I agree with your top five accept Holmes because of the loss last week to Boone. They should be punished just like anyone else; I think they are a top five team but it's only fair.

In every post you always have negativity towards Elliott County. :confused: It really doesn't matter because it is a forum and they are all opinions.

I think that Holmes and Ballard should switch spots if anything. I would have to agree Holmes is too low.

I really can't argue the fact that Scott County is #1 in the state. Elliott had a great week last week but Scott did nothing to get knocked out of first. Elliott deserves to be second because of the margin of wins that they had. They rebounded very nicely since the Valley loss and got punished through the rankings. Even though Valley beat them, when you beat two top 8 teams by 14+ you have to give credit to them. Shelby Valley is the most impressive team I have seen this year but it was Elliott's one let down that was made up. Shelby Valley just doesn't have that many signature wins versus Elliott County's (now we can say that).

This will be a 40+ win for the Lions.

I don't think he has seen Elliott play or know much about them. South Charleston would be top 50 as well.

So happy to be a part of Saturday night; it was magical. Timmy Knipp played and is starting to play up to his pontential. The boys will be very missed and they couldn't of had went out in better fashion in their last game at the hook. Way to go lions and now the real show begins! :dancingpa

I am glad to see Elliott get these two wins like I said all along. Does anybody have any stats because we missed too many FREE throws tonight. Ballard is a good team and wish them all the best. Great win for the Lions!!!!

Looking at Ballard's schedule they seem to me that they don't play that good on the road against top ten teams in their gyms (except J-town). The roads will not have a affect on them at all but the crowd will play a factor in this game and IMO I think that we will take them out of their element. Ballard is a long drive so the Elliott county fans will be that much more forceful; only about 50-100 more but that's alot in a gym of 1,100 people. Ballard will not wear Elliott down; I have never seen a team do that yo Elliott and never will until they graduate. It is not so much as Elliott beating Ballard but if Ballard can beat Elliott because they have a lot stacked up against them. I am just going and hoping to watch too teams slug it out and hopefully watch the Lions play like I know they can. Eta are you coming?
