Withdrawals after one day???

It was a great evening -- We had football players everywhere!

We have enjoyed hosting Ballard for camp at Greenup County. They will return home tomorrow.

Louisville Ballard arrived last night and are already enjoying the meals provided by the boosters! Their coach had a lot of positive things to say about Coach Copley. Congrats to Coach and his wife on the birth of their son. He wanted the baby to be born on August 1rst and got his wish!!!!

You are right, Russell is on Saturday, 8/29.

The boys leave for camp Feltner next Wednesday. We will be hosting Louisville Ballard starting tomorrow for five days. It will be a busy time, hope to see everyone out in support of the boys. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to serve or bring meals!

The mini camp is going well. Coach has them working from sunup to sundown. This will be a great experience for our boys.

Prayers from Grennup!

The numbers are pretty good. (more than 50) Mini camp starts this Wednesday. The boys will eat and sleep football for three days! (Wish I could be there!!)

We did lose a player this summer due to grades. With the new coach's emphasis on grades, and higher expectations this shouldn't be a problem in the future. Coach will be checking grades on a weekly basis and boys with any grade lower than a C will lose playing time. Coach Copley has arranged for after practice tutoring for those that need the extra help.

Had a good turnout last night for the opening of mandatory practice. Coach met with the parents before practice started and introduced his coaches and talked about his expectations. I loved his emphasis on grades. He will be stricter than the very poor KHSAA standards.

It was great seeing all the future musketeers at the skills camp last night. We had a great turnout. Work on the field is progressing. Located and replaced a majority of the sprinkler heads. After the rest are repaired/replaced the field will be reseeded. The middle of the field is growing well, just some patchy areas on the sides to handle. Thanks to everyone who came out to work.

My boys play this game and it is highly addictive!

The Boosters are having a work day this evening at 5pm at the field. We will be cleaning out one of the sheds under the bleachers. (Preparing for the new bleachers to be installed.) Any and all help will be appreciated!

Lifting starts again Monday morning (Youth Camp in the evening Mon - Wed.) and mandatory practice starts Thursday. There will be a mandatory parent meeting with Coach at 5pm on Thursday. Hope to see the stands full!!!
