Around a 30 min. delay because of fog after the 3rd inning. Started the game again and more fog came. 6th and top of 7th you couldnt see the outfielders. A lot of errors by Greenup.

WOW....honestly, did anyone see this one coming? I thought Greenup was in the same position that Lawrence County was in the 15th last year...everyone else playing for runnerup...

As I said in another thread, East worried me more than Boyd. They have always played GC tough, and the Musketeers seemed to think it would be a cake walk. Good luck Raiders, I hope you win it all.

Congratulations to East Carter, they definitely deserve to be where they are, and good luck in the finals.

Congratulations to Greenup County as well. They have had a great run in the 16th Region over the last three years. The seniors at Greenup have been special and represented the school well, with back to back Regional Championships. Good luck to them in the future.

WOW!!!!!! I agree, East was the team that I thought had the best chance at knocking GC out but I honestly didn't think it would happen. To the GC seniors, good luck in your future endeavors. You will be missed and you will be remembered as the most successful group to go through GC baseball.

Saying all this, the passing of Zach Meenach after the game puts a lot of perspective on this game. Baseball is way less important than life. I know Coach Logan and the team wanted to win last night but in the grand scheme of things, it was just a game.

Good luck to East tonight.

East Carter was clearly the better team last night. Great job Raiders. Greenup keep your heads up, plenty of returning players for next year. Seniors will be missed, it has been pleasure watching yours ups and downs the last couple years.

Wow! I knew that East has had a great baseball tradition and program through the years and can never be counted out but I would have never called this one. Congrats to East Carter on the win and food luck in the finals.

Greenup Co. kids/players have absolutely nothing to hang your heads over, you have reresented your school and the 63rd district well. :thumb:
