Time to give big props to Beechwood's Sawyer Carlisle. He was the winning pitcher in the regional final and pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts in Beechwood's 6-2 win last night over West Jessamine. Most impressive thing about Sawyer Carlisle - he got a 35 on his ACT and has a scholarship to MIT. Yes, he will play baseball at MIT. Congratulations to Sawyer Carlisle!

The Spurs showed me something in the second half after it looked like they were done. But to beat the Knicks they might need a double digit lead at the two minute mark to be able to hang on for a win in a game. Too young, too many stupid mistakes especially at crunch time. I put Wemby on the block and tell him to stay there. Make the Knicks double team him then kick it for open 3's.

The last two minutes of that first half the Knicks won this game and maybe the whole series. They completely demoralized the Spurs. The Spurs and Wemby looked completely lost and had no energy at the end of that first half. What the Spurs need to do is put Wemby on the low block, throw him the ball and play good old inside out basketball. The Knicks completely own the paint on both ends of the floor.

Yeah, my view changed a lot after that post even before last night. As I looked deeper into the matchup I saw the Knicks had beaten the Spurs 2 of 3 this season. Also saw after 2/1 only two teams beat San Antonio and the Knicks were one of them. The Spurs may be too young to beat the experienced Knicks in this series. Spurs definitely more talented but they are so young.

Knicks get an offensive rebound with multiple shots that led to Brunson getting a wide open three in the corner. Wemby misses a 3. Brunson makes a 2. Wemby turns the ball over trying to make a dribble drive from the 3 point line. Ballgame. With the way Brunson can close out a game, Spurs need to be up by 10+ when it gets to 2 minutes. Mike Brown coached a great game.

I just went onto https://khsaa.org/. On the main page to the right of the Riherds Scoreboard is Arbiter. I clicked on Arbiter and it asked for me to sign in. I don't have an account. I went in and created an account as a parent. I looked around the site and no clue where to see scores and information. It sounds like some of you already use Arbiter. Are you using it to see sports scores? How are you using the site?

I saw a post that UK signed a 6'11" 253 pound center today who was granted a 7th year of eligibility. Played for Washington last year? Don't know details but I like adding bulk and size to this roster.

We saw a great display in this series of why the Braves have the best record in baseball and the Reds are struggling.... walks. The Braves pitchers throw strikes and the Reds pitchers throw balls. It's always about matchups and it seems like the Knicks matchup with the Spurs better than anybody else in the NBA. The Knicks offense is on fire and they can be very physical on defense. The Spurs defense was excellent against the Thunder. The Spurs are so young - it feels like the Knicks experience will win. The key to the series is Wemby in the paint on both ends. The more the Knicks keep Wemby out of the paint, the better their chances to win.
