The Cincinnati Reds (20-11, their best start since 2006) enter the month of May in first place in the National League Central Division with a 1 game lead over the second place Chicago Cubs (19-12).
They also enter May with 20 wins for the first time in franchise history. Go Reds‼️?⚾️

Reds with 12 home and 17 road games this month. May is when you start to see who’s contending and pretending. Reds starting pitching depth is really going to be tested.

I really believe this bunch can hang in there this year.

Reds are currently in a rain delay in Pittsburgh.

1-0 Pit after 1 inning.

3-0 Pirates after 3.

4-0 Pirates after 4.

Pirates 8-0 after 5.  Not good.

Reds down 9-1 after 8 innings they have 1 more shot.

2-1 Reds in the 1st and the game is on FS1 so most everyone has access to it.

The Reds are now down 8-3 and in the bottom of the 2nd have walked 6 straight batters Phillips threw I believe 14 pitches and 12 were balls. They are one walk away from tying the all-time major league record.

Well they have now tied the record with the 7th straight walk of the inning Phillips is out after coming in and threw just 21 pitches and 16 of them were balls. UNEREAL!

Reds now trailing 10-3. The Pirates have scored 5 runs this inning and never hit a ball out of the infield no hits and no Reds errors. This has been a very strange few days in sports with some of the NBA games and now this.
