I honestly wouldn’t say CCH’s defensive is that bad. Against Ryle they gave up that first big run, then held them to 6 points rest of the half. And it didn’t help that they were on the field 35 minutes out of a 48-minute game. Against Lex Cath, LC had the ball on their side of the field most of the 1st half and CCH’s Defensive held pretty good, minus some offensive miscues, CCH should have won that game. Lex Cath didn’t beat them because they were the better team, Cov cath just couldn’t execute or make the big plays when needed. And La Salle, they aren’t an Elder or a Moeller or St.X, but they are very talented on offensive, this game showed CCH’s lack of athleticism of defensive, but lets get that facts straight, Campbell is a good team but they aren’t a La sale on the aspect of talent, I think CCH will turn the table this game and take the next 4. Lexington Catholic just cannot stop the run. In their first 2 games they were torn up on the ground. This will be over very early ST.X – 52 LC - 7

A tuff loss for Trinity, but I think a loss like this for them is something they could learn on. And whoever their head coach is deserves a lot of credit, to schedule Cincinnati powerhouses St. Xavier and Elder and also to play them on their home field is something to be proud of. Trinity wants to be the best and they play the best.

CCH has Campbell County next week.

I believe that CCH’s defense will hold up pretty good. I think CCH’s offensive will be a non-factor in this game. I think LaSalle will have a short field the whole game, as Lex Cath did. I think CCH will be in this game early, but CCH defensive will be on the field nearly the whole came because I think CCH will have alot of 3 and outs. And also CCH punting game is pretty weak, the punter kicks them short and low and the punt return always has a good gain. Because of the struggle of the offensive, I believe La Salle will take this game. La Salle 28 CovCath 0

Highlands – 56 Beechwood - 7

I think Ryle is a good football team and want to take nothing away from that win; but CCH gave them the game by 3 or 4 turnovers and also the inability to make tackles on first contact. CCH came out to play like deer in head lights and it showed by the first play of the game, which was a long TD run. You take away three of Ryle's big plays, and it could have been a different game. I think if CCH could have moved the football and kept their D off the field it would have helped their chances. I would like to know how many rushing yards Ryle had after first contact, because CCH had a lot of missed tackles. They just couldnt wrap up! Good win for Ryle, but CCH will get better.

Yes they do, but this year is a totally different type year for them. They are very young and are struggling with fundamentals. Their lack of experience showed on the 1st play against Ryle when they young guy took it for a long td run and wasnt even touched. I don't think they will get blown out. I just think they will still struggle but I do believe they will improve.

I assume Lex Cath has speed, and that's what CCH was struggling with against Ryle and also Holy Cross. And I can say how many times CCH had a Ryle rb hit in the back field and they got away for a plus gain.

I havent seen Lex Cath play Cov Cath since 2006 and if this Lex Cath team has nearly the "fire power" those Lex Cath teams had... I just dont see CCH being able to keep up with it. I know CovCath will improve as the year goes on but enless they show something the didn't show at Ryle Friday night, I don't see them pulling out a victory. But like I said, I don't know enough about Lex Cath this year to really know.

In defense for Brossart. He was screwed from the beginning. Dave Worth coach of Badin"OH" and Mike Wolf Dc of Ryle. Were all the top picks of The committee that choose the coach. All of the committee had Brossart their last pick. The AD of CCH called Mike Wolf and told him he had the job, then former prin. of CCH Mike Clines, behind the committees back, gave Brossart the job, so right off the bat, Brossart had no chance at CCH.

Is it that the coaching staff is a joke? I heard that their DC pervious coaching before CCH was 6 years in PEEWEE football. And I know another coach their Dline coach, his first ever coaching was CCH Varisty, which I cant understand. I'm not Saying Dave Brossart is a bad coach but, like they say its not always the head coach but who the coach surrounds himself with.

I want to know whats going on? This team is Two years out of a State Championship. Whats going on?
