Just wondering what everyone thinks about this game. Lexington Catholic hosts St. X for their yearly battle. St. X holds the series lead in this one and it looks to continue. A young and reloading LexCath team looks to be no match for St. X in this one. I'd say X should be able to win with ease.

LCHS - 7

X- 49

I just don't think Lexcath has the players do do it this year. Hurts me to say it but X whens big by 5+ tds.

St. X 56 LC -7.

I say there will be a running clock. Brian Buehner stirs the drink as the playmakers Jeremiah Neal, Lamont McMurray, Daylen Hall and Jay Hayden gain more experience. Buehner was excellent against Ballard. I think he completed 10-14 for 144 yds and 2 TD's. Two road games to start the season will get them ready to face Cincy St. X.

I agree. It hurts me too, but we're just not strong enough this year.

I would think that you are probably right. I hate to see anybody get beat that bad.

While Lexcath does have a good team this year, and have a great shot at winning state(along with Boyle/Bell). But X is just on another level talent wise and also with team depth.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I thought I heard they had somewhere close to or over 200 kids total in their program. With numbers like that and an outstanding program, it's pretty hard to lose.

No way does Lex. Cath. get beat by +5 touchdowns. Two maybe.

The freshman team dresses 70+ if I remember correctly. An X fan would be able to give more accurate numbers.

Oh I agree if anybody is counting out Lex Cath if 4A then they are badly mistaken.

I remember the freshman team dressing around 70+ when I was there a few years ago. Impressive numbers.

X has about 110 freshmen this year, just over 170 between the JV and varsity squads, for a total of around 280.

With Cincy X coming up the following week, I can see this game going one of two ways. X will either keep the starters in longer than normal to get them used to playing a full 4 quarter ball game, and thus the score could get a bit out of hand, or two, X could want to save the starters for next week and pull them somewhat early, allowing LC to make the game appear closer than it really is based on the final score. Since this is only the second game for X, I would probably tend to want to play my starters a bit longer to have them ready for the next week but the four weeks after LC will all be very physical games with no bye weeks the remainder of the year, so X will need to rest the guys when they can.

St. X is at a different level than Lex Catholic. X rolls 42-21.

Wow, you guys have an army up there! I hope we can get that big of a squad sometime. I'm looking forward to the game. It'll be a good growing experience for our guys.

St.X- 42 Lex. Cath.- 7 This Tiger team can score quickly and has a very solid defense and great kicking game.
