IYO, who is the best sixth player in NKY?

My understanding is that this is the second time she left the team. Could have been that she came out at the last minute but, either way I really think this is an ongoing issue. :idunno:

You got it right. I have watched NCC @ SK and that was a fight. NCC will bring it to you and after Boone beat Ryle IMO 10 is letting Ryle off easy without Moss in this one. :taz:

What do you think? SK by doubles? Interested to see if SK "D" can keep Tibbs away and under 20. :popcorn:

It is coming together. I do not believe they are where they want to be just yet. (Sr.) L. Figgins and (Jr.) Brown are both back on the floor. They are the 6-7 that ties everything together so; if they and the team stay healthy, they should only get better. Tolliver has picked up her game and Smith has been great on the paint. :popcorn:

I follow Simon Kenton real close how are things going elsewhere in the 8th. I have not seen many discussions about Anderson (or missed them) and I know they have a very good team. I have seen Shelby Co. and SK's district teams play this season so, what about the rest of the pack? :idunno:

I understand but it still is a hard sale to make when a team like Simon Kenton has beat two of the top twenty and sent two others away happy to get out of the gym. I guess they still have to prove it in the crunch and IMO they will make good noise through tournament(s) time. Wish the best of luck to the Lady Pioneers!

Yes, I agree, and a lack of "D" could very well hurt in the near future for LCA. I think NCC will suprise at the end of the year. Glad they are not in the 8th.

I agree. Loved the article in the paper a week or so ago about how he approached coaching girls after so many years coaching guys. If you saw the two SK games, you know what I mean about aggressive play. Those two games were the best thing that happened to SK prepping for a run. :popcorn:

NCC has become a dangerous aggressive team. Two hardest fought games I have seen this year were the two they and SK split. I would like to get SK fast-pitch that aggressive this season!

Parents are a big problem I hear. You are right, a strong coach could make a lot of noise in NKY!

Kenton County Schools does not follow a policy of teachers being hired above others. They must just meet the 64 hours and pass the background check.

Does anyone have some insight about why Simon Kenton may not be breaking the top 20 in this new pole? They have been listed off and on this season. They were very strong against E-Town and Butler at Lexington while beating Rockcastle, Conner and someone else (IDR) in the same tournament and defeated Highlands this past Saturday in the Kenton County Classic Championship Finals? Defensively playing very strong and with Brown (Jr.) playing for the first time this season (shoulder surgery in Oct.) strong as the sixth man they look very sharp. Offensively they hit (15) 3's in a single game last week with 5 girls finishing in doubles. They turned it around the next night and beat Highlands with defense. :confused:

I may have missed it on another thread but what are the drawing dates and times for the Sweet 16 selections?

As a Middle School AD, I feel they should be brought up only if they have the talent to start as a High School JV player or better. My experience has been that many opportunities are lost simply bringing them up because you can. The allowance given parents’ desires in this matter are to great. A coach should look at them and decide if they have the ability to start at that level. In our school district, I have seen it work and fail. When it failed, it failed big!

You are right about CT. The team also seems to be transitioning quicker. If they can continue to bring down the turnovers with this picked up pace they are going to be even tougher moving into districts and regionals. They (IMO) just seem to have a bit more attitude about themselves.
