I have a feeling this isn't the way these are going to be after a couple weeks.

Ok if we're gonna play that card then how did 4-8 team in HC go into overtime and lead most of the game against a team in Desales that was 9-2. If we went by record like you are then Desales should have killed them. Also I believe Carrol County had a better record than the Indians and they lost by 53.:confused: You can't use records as an example when they have no common opponents everyone knows that.:fight:

I was impressed with them two likewise. With HC Egan showed some improvement. Sullivan and Eastin were out though, Sullivan should add another solid post prescence.

It was called on the lead blocker, and the lead blocker pancaked the kid. I disagree with the call.

I wouldn't say Desales is necessarily the better team. This game could have went either way and I think that if they played 10 games both would win 5. These teams were very evenly matched and that's what made for the great game.:thumb:

First round of the playoffs. Hc's JV team finished out a 56-3 game.

I believe as it has been said on here that it depends on what kind of team you are and who you are playing. One of my favorite though would be the match up zone. In this it looks like you're playing man, but really you just have a part of the zone and anyone that comes in your zone is your man. If you have players that will talk on the defensive end and talk to each other on when to switch, and not switch etc... this kind of defense could be very effective.

After seeing this who do you expect their starting five to be at the start of the year?

Shina Giwa- Holy Cross.....He should be a fun kid to watch this year being a 3-year starter.

I'm just throwing this out there since you brought up Jv ball, but Holy Cross Jv beat Cov Cath Jv last year and they had everyone playing Jv that usually does. I'm not saying that really means much because I don't put much stock into Jv ball, but I just figured I would throw that out there.:thumb:

2400 or a little over for Desales to around 2700 for Hc. I am just failing to see where the stats are in favor of Desales? I believe the passing yardage favors HC to the tune of 590(d) to 700(h).

All the earlier talk of the Desales run game got me thinking. It seems to me(from a source) that Hc despite the much tougher schedule has actually out rushed Desales overall.

O no trust me I know they have them and wouldn't be nearly what they are without them, but the main people I was referring to were Nick West, Austin Pugh, and Miles Simspon.

A team that fought hard until the last whistle with everything they had. You have to love that attitude in a team.

I just think HC is clicking at the right time with the running game and the defense. Brad Herald is back and has had 10+ tackles his first two weeks plus DT Bernie Gripshover is supposed to return this week from a knee injury and he started. Hopefully their brutal schedule finally pays off.

That's what I figured as I was a bit surprised when they were in it last year too, but maybe some teams will give them some good games. :thumb:

The scary thing is most of the playmakers for both teams are only juniors.:eek:
