Thoughts? Looks a little different from the one that the Enquirer came out with a few weeks ago.

I have a feeling this isn't the way these are going to be after a couple weeks.

If you take out the 10th and 8th region teams/players that NKY includes in their coverage, that is what it'd looked like using the Enquirer's rankings.

I'm a little surprised Brandon Housely wasn't included in either considering he was a top 10 player last year at Newport as a junior.

I'd personally take Housely, Kowolonek, and JJ Johnson over Giwa.

I don't have an exact top ten team as I haven't gotten to see all of the teams, but I just don't think this is how it will be.

I would take all three all day over Romes.

From March:

Top 10

1. Ricardo Johnson (Holmes)

2. Luke Maile (CCH)

3. Jeremiah Johnson (Holmes)

4. Mitch Shover (CCH)

5. Andy Earls (Boone)

6. Steven Kowolonek (Highlands)

7. Elijah Pittman (Holmes)

8. Shina Giwa (Holy Cross)

9. Steven Mcfarland (Boone)

10. Maike Gabbard (Boone)

Jamel Riley of Holmes could crack this list before the end of the season though. He will be the best PURE pg next year in nky.

Lots of changes in only a few months considering the season hasn't started.

I agree. Surprised Nichols of Ryle wasn't mentioned at all.

From March:

The first list is the enquirer's top 10 players if you exclude 8th and 10th region players; not my own personal list.

I agree. There have been a lot of changes since March. A lot of the players have progressed, grown, and worked more than others which plays a big role in the reason for the changes. I've also had a chance to see more of the players on more occasions than when I originally made the list that you quoted second.

If I had to compile a list as of right now from what I saw over the summer, I'd go with something like this:

1. Ricardo Johnson (Holmes)

2. Elijah Pittman (Holmes)

3. Stephen Mcfarland (Boone)

4. Jeremiah Johnson (Holmes)

5. Mitch Shover (Covcath)

6. Luke Maile (Covcath)

7. Andy Earls (Boone)

8. Stephen Kowolonek (Highlands)

9. Brandon Housely (Holmes)

10. Shina Giwa (Holy Cross)

So the difference in this list and the list in post 4 is what?

I think Mikey Gabbard is one of the best PG's in the region and hes not even a top ten player? I think most of you would agree with me.

Eta whats up with you ranking NCC above the Birds? I have to disagree there.

See the bolded in my original post that I have quoted above your two postss. Those rankings are FROM THE ENQUIRER, not my own personal ones.

Pardon my obvious confusion. In one you don't have Luke Maile. In the other you do. You say its based on what you saw over the summer but Luke never plays any summer basketball so I don't follow which is yours, which is not, and what its based on.

The one that doesn't have Luke listed is from the enquirer because he wasn't going to play at that time.

The one that DOES have him listed (the one that you have quoted in post #9 I believe), is my own personal one.

The one in post #1 is from the Courier-Journal's preview.

GoldSunrise has asked, how some other poster thought they would be, so I used the enquirer polls to show her how it differed from the C-J.

Does that clear some things up for you?
