  1. I think Spoonamore is the key to Williamstown's success. He and vice give this team their toughness.
  2. I think Reynolds did attend Grant as a freshman. But don't believe Ponzer ever went anywhere except Walton Verona for high school.
  3. Ponzer and Reynolds both have been at Walton Verona for their whole high school career. I wouldn't call a kid a transfer unless they attended a year of high school in one school, and then transferred to another high school. They have chosen to attend WV for their high school. They are, however, out of district students. Obviously, they help WV quite a bit.
  4. Trimble is playing good right now. They are not an easy out.
  5. Grant is definitely in the drivers seat going into districts, but don't think they will breeze through. Ponzer did dribble one off his foot, but it wasn't like he was under alot of pressure. IMO, Grant got all they could handle. It should be fun at districts this year. Good luck to all the boys. They are making it fun for us spectators this year. Just glad I don't have a kid on any of the teams. I think it would be much too nerve racking. I really think Williamstown could be a wild card even though their record isn't great. They really play hard till the last second. And their coach is doing a good job keeping them focused in spite of their record. Good luck to all.:dancingpa
  6. I don't think any of the four teams in this district has a breeze to get to regionals. Grant only beat WV by 4 points, and it definitely could have gone the other way. WV threw the ball away at least 5 times down the stretch with really no pressure. I think if not for that, they would have won this game.
  7. Good game. Walton led most of the game. In the third quarter they had of margin of 18. Ended up winning by 8. Great job Bearcats. Ponzer led with 20. Bowlin had 16 I think. Way to play, bearcats.:dancingpa
  8. Coach Jones is a class act and a good coach. Also think Sean Knollman is a very good ref. Wish we could have all the refs be as good as he is.
  9. Who were the scorers for Brossart tonight?
  10. Ponzer is their most consistent scorer averaging about 18 a game, but they need some consistency from everyone, and definetely need to work on playing defense. If they don't get some production from the rest of the team, it is going to be a long season.
  11. Everyone says WV has a young team. But aside from that, are they playing to their potential? Isn't this 3 or 4 losses in a row? I thought they had some talent? What do they need to do to get it together?
  12. Trimble County is playing some good basketball. Congrats.
  13. I don't think Lloyd is bad. I just think WV has some nice young talent, and that the boys were just really clicking tonight.
  14. Good game by WV boys. Ponzer is a nice passer. Bowlin and Ponzer led WV with 25 and 23 points. Nice game for all the Bearcats. Keep it up!
  15. Who has Lloyd played so far this year? Any wins, and who are their scorers?
  16. I know they have Maddox who is good. Who is the other top ten player? Just can't remember who is on the team. I know they still have one of the Jones boys.
  17. 1. Anderson 2. Oldham 3. Shelby 4. Owen 5. Walton
  18. Saw Cooper play at S.K. They were very young. Don't know how they will fair against Walton. Haven't seen Walton this year, but they have some good players. They are also young. Should be a good game I would think.
  19. Why doesn't Walton Verona get into this. Seems like they would want to play some games close to home every once in a while. Good competition and close by. Why not?
  20. Didn't Tate Cox go to June Buchanen last year? I know I heard something about that school closing possibly. Where is the younger Stepp kid going to high school?
  21. I totally agree. I think these people haven't been to enough of Penny's games in AAU leagues, and are limited to the Gallatin games they see. Penny is a whole other calibur of player.
  22. He's tops in my book.:flame:
  23. Trent Maddox is a good player, but not the calibur of C.J. Penny.
