If that is best for the team, maybe Maile should just go out by himself? I mean what is the use of the other four on the court. In your opinion he can do it all on his own right? Exactly, wrong. I have NO personal vendetta against Maile. Don't even know him, beyond watching him play. My brother is pretty good friends with him. I just have played and watched and coached basketball all my life, and I know that the answer to a team winning ISNT one person being the ONLY factor. Last year HC didn't get too far with Sorrell as their "touch every possession" guy, it's DEF not going to work for CovCath.

I agree. This isn't a game I'd use Maschinot too much in. He is only a sophmore and needs more time to develop. His size is also a limitation in this game, cause the smallest person on the court for Holmes is Riley and he plays bigger to me. But I think we will see him in there, so ready or not here he comes lol. Could be a good learning experience. Thelen vs. one of the Johnson brothers, probably JJ. And Wellbrock verse Ricardo. Obviously Isler vs Pittman. Don't know, obviously Holmes is just overall faster, but I think thats the best lineup to get in there.

I think lately his playing time has gone down, just because of the way Listerman is using more of the big men, and now when he gets in he really uses his minutes and gives quality performance. Beechwood was a good example. I like that.

Yeah I think bringing him in to guard him might be good for a couple of minutes, he is physical. Isn't tall though and he is fast, but out of control. Ricardo would more than likely have his way with him, BUT then again I'm expecting Holmes to be able to handle CovCath all over, so that wouldn't be out of expectation. I'm sure if Counts gets the opportunity he'll give it his all!

Counts is a four mostly. Has a horrendous outside shot, but offers some physicality inside. He'll be a nice surge off the bench for a couple minutes, but tends to get out of control and that won't benefit us much vs Holmes.

lol, Zach doesn't play into kids like that. Pittman wants that to get into Zachs head, but it doesn't work. I think in the end Zach might get into Pittman's head a bit. That being said, I think both will have fine games. But I know Zach is ready/expecting the mouth to run from Pittman; won't be surprised. Thelen and Wellbrock also don't seem to let that stuff into their head. I'm hoping the lineup looks like: Ives Maile Thelen Wellbrock Isler Doesn't matter how many guards we have in, it doesn't make our guard play better, so why not go with the bigger lineup against a huge lineup lol. But I know L's style and I'm willing to bet Maschinot or Pauly are starting as opposed to Thelen.

I think Boone will handle Highlands. Boone by 10+

lol what cracks me up is that "The Park Hills Mafia" IF there is one had NOTHING to do with Dave Brossart resigning or being let go. But as Clyde said, in Brossart and friends mind there is def. a mafia down there, because he needs to assure himself that it wasn't his terrible coaching that got him dismissed. People just chose him to have a vendetta aginst. lol

Holmes win this one. By at least 15 lol. But I think CovCath will hang in there for maybe a half. I also think Isler has the ability to frustrate Pittman, because he is physical and I have seen Pittman and know he doesn't like that. Isler fully expects an ear full from him Wednesday night lol. I'm def. worried about the guard positions, because I don't see any of our guards hanging with Riley. Should be fun to watch regardless lol.

You are a friend of Brossart's obviously. And I respect that. I have a friend or two that most people don't really like, but I see redeeming qualities in them. Good for you. And I applaud you for standing up for him. However, he DID blow his chance. He did this without anyones help but his own. And if he is going to have success as a coach, he is going to have to do ALOT better at his future position. Good luck and I hope that the things he did wrong at CCH were a learning experience for the man.

I don't need to apply to know I could be a ref. Since you know me, I'm sure you know I'm not too far off with my knowledge of the sport. I could probably go ref right now if I wanted to. Not my thing though. I like to strictly watch. I agree that some refs just plain suck. I don't really view it as a women or man thing. They are a ref and if they suck, they suck.

I understand that as well. It's not women, lol. It's some women. Just like some men are terrible refs as well.

I know, but that doesnt mean ALL women should not ref boys games. I'm more than capable and I know of a few others who could as well. I mean there are some men who shouldnt be reffing boys game, but you didnt say "thats why men shouldnt ref boys games" lol.

I am pretty amazing, I gotta tell ya. I've never actually agreed with Listerman's coaching style, but he is a great man, and I have no problem with him being the coach and making the decisions. That doesn't stop me or others from wondering what his thought process is with some of his subbing and lineups. I'm sure it is just that he is having difficulty coping with not having as much talent as usual. And I don't believe I said at any point we don't need Maile to score, lol..quite the opposite obviously. We just need other kids to become a scoring threat and that isn't going to happen with ONE person trying to be IT on the court. This team has struggled with playing as a team all year, and that doesn't improve the situation. Like it or not, this team NEEDS Maile to score those points to win a game, but regardless, we still ARENT so obviously something needs to be done differently.
