  1. Since finding BGP I have to say I don't post alot but I read everything, my wife has made comments before that she thought she was going to have to get her an account just to talk to me during FOOTBALL season anyway.
  2. Thoughts and prayers to this young mans family, friends and GRC.
  3. I hope you're wrong SK, I think it will be closer than that and will be a game right up to the end.
  4. More prayers from the Capital City.
  5. Hate to hear that, will keep him in our prayers Congrats to central on the win.
  6. Dang looks like I should have started reading this thread back in the week! Well anyway OC by three scores
  7. Well guess I'll see them there, there for a while I was starting to think that the only supporter left on this thread was a WH fan!
  8. HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Is there anyone out there?
  9. Yeah well Central has won it enough to last them a while it's someone else's turn.
  10. Yeah we know, that's what it's all about isn't. I wish it were us, but It would be nice for a state championship winner in this district. Best of luck :thumb:
  11. not once did I say it was about me I just stated the facts. Now this is over this thread is supposed to be about Henry County vs Central. I still haven't decided who to pick it really could go either way.
  12. So will HC's come Friday night if they don't do any better than they did against Hills. First of all Dark Horse if you had been paying attention while you were reading you would have discovered that not one WH fan mentioned anything about the WH and HC game untill it was brought up by an HC fan. My only point about that game is this yeah HC played a good game, and got the win, but they didn't do anything spectacular in that game that you could use to say that HC will beat Central.
  13. :ohbrother: I will say this and then get back to the topic of the thread. Yeah the speed of HC and their QB was so fast that they scored on the first series of the game and never scored again till late in the 3rd Qtr. You are using the HC, WH and the WH, Central game as a comparrison as to how you think HC will do against Central. What I am saying is this HC did not dominate Hills by any stretch of the word the stats that I posted on both teams came from HC team stats on the scoreboard posted by HC. Henry County put up 199 yards of total offense and 3 fumbles against Hills and Hills had 202 yards of total offense and 4 fumbles in this game. I just don't see how that shows the speed of HC not that that matters anyway because the speed of HC is not what is going to get them a win at the BeeHive. I am here to tell you right now Central will put up more yards in the 1st quarter than both these teams combined that night if you let them touch the ball. If you don't stop their RB's before they make the turn on the outside they will have 20 yards before you get them down, and you still may not get the tackle. I am not saying HC can't win this game and if you will go back and read my earlier posts I have said that more than once. The key to a HC victory is not as much defense as it is ball control, you keep the ball as long as you can and punch it into the endzone keep it out of Centrals hands and HC wins, but if you give them opportunities they will turn those opportunities into 6 points. just like I said before if you try to get in a shootout with them it's gonna get ugly fast.
  14. These kids were something special.
  15. I'm not insinuating it is intentional by any means, I thought it was probably a typo. Wright had almost 80 yards on one drive shoot he carried the ball 9 out of 10 plays that series. Curry carried the ball some and gained several yards, Hecker, Pugh & Clay all carried the ball a few times. I know you have to subtract -yards from +yards. like I said thought it might be a typo or something.
  16. Hey FishMaster have you looked at the stats that Central has posted for the game? According to them they only gave up 84 yards rushing and 137 passing!:lol:
  17. Lets not get carried away here yes HC beat WH and the better team won that night, but you act as if HC was able to do exactly what they wanted against Hills and that is definately not the case HC had 54 yards passing and 145 yards rushing with about 50 or 60 coming from Magness in the first series when he broke away and scored HC's first TD. Offensively Hills was right there with HC as far as yards gained on offense Hills rushed for 104 and passed for 98 yards the the story in this game was simply the fact that HC was able to recover a fumble inside Hills 10 yard line and turn it into 6 points. Now do I think it's possible for HC to win this game "Yes" it is possible, but as I said earlier it will come down to ball control and using the clock. The longer HC can keep the ball the better their chances. If HC tries to get in a shoot out with them it will get very ugly very fast.. Centrals speed compares to no other team that HC or WH faced all season.
  18. Don't be mislead by thinking Central is just a one dimensional team, they can and did throw the ball against Hills with some success, now grant you Central will run the ball 90% of the time. I think the key to HC winning this game is keep the ball on the ground and control the clock. Keep the ball on the ground and pound it between the tackles. HC will need to limit the number of opportunities Central hs at scoring by keeping their offense on the field, because if you give them the ball they will score. Still not ready to make my pick.
  19. Well Fish I have watched this team for several years and probably one of their biggest fans. I have watched this group of Seniors since they were in middle school and have always known they would do great things for WH football. At the same time I can be critical when I think it is called for, I mean you have seen some of my posts this season I'll call them the way I see them. Several times I have thought if some things had been done differently Wright could have rushed for about 1500+ yards and curry could have passed for about the same maybe more. That being said they have still done an excellent job and need to be very proud of themselves and what they have accomplished. I hate to see this group of Seniors go but look forward to a new era in WH football that they have created.. I'll be here next season to tell it like it is the way I see it. :D
