Great win for the Falcons. I guess WC was not the test everyone thought. No matter, I know that Fc is very deserving of the #1 ranking, and I am not sure that they could not be very competitive with other classes. I will say this, FC is the real deal!!! If you want any chance at a state title you have to beat the best team in 2a, and that is FC!!!! Thanks LOVEOFFOOTBALL for the updates. Enjoy the down week and I will talk to you the following. Thanks, but I think Coach Petett is above that kind of play...not saying I would not love to see it, but he is a very respectful coach and once he gets a comfortable lead the Varsity will step down and let the young Falcons take the reigns again. But believe me when I say this, Metcalfe will go to the locker room at half not wanting to return to face even the young Falcons. Get my drift!!!!:ylsuper:

Does not matter which team shows up, Green plays really good through the season but has a horrible maintaining any success in the playoffs. Glasgow is extremely hungry and i feel an upset is coming!!! Green is way to one dimensional, yes I know they have completed a couple passes this season, but to be successful in high school ball you need a balanced attack. Green has never had that balance, this is why they get put out of the playoffs by teams that are more balanced, such as Glasgow this year!

Wow, I guess you forgot about Monroe County, the one that beat them twice last year and put them out of the playoffs!!! :ohbrother:

That is absolutely true about Green...I am sure they think they were cheated!! They don't lose very well at all and usually bounce back hard on the team that plays them next.

I am not ready to give them their rings just yet...haha...us other set of falcons a few counties over want another shot at the 2-time champions, Not saying the result will be any different, but I can only hope we get the chance to sit in the stands with some good people and watch in my opinion the best football game in the great state of KY!!! The 5-0 Monroe county Falcons are taking on the 2-3 Mecalfe county Hornets. Monroe has a little score to settle with Metcalfe after they brought their Varsity to a jv game and played as dirty and unsportsmanlike as I have ever seen. I guess that is the only way they can beat a Monroe team this year but The varsity for Monroe was in the stadium watching their underclassmen get verbally and physically abused!! I am very suprised that Coach Petett did not have a few words with Metcalfes coach after the game. It was a very poor showing for a team in our own district!!! So that being said, Metcalfe is in for a very long night against a very angry Falcon Varsity squad! They say they are the only ones that can beat up on their jv... Wow, great work gchs uk9!!! I am going with Garrard! Wayne just can't get it together this year being plagued by injury and illness!! If this team can find it in their hearts they could be very good, but can they find it? That remains to be seen...:confused:

After taking the beating from Green last week I will say that Cambellsville will come ready to play!!!! It should be a very tough and exciting game to watch. Cambellsville 20 Lynn Camp 14

I am going with Glasgow! Just don't like the Dragons at all. I hwill root for any team playing them. I agree with Semper that the Scotties are better coached but a little less in the talent department. Green will come out one dimentional and Glasgow will balance their attack. John Stone for green is a good athlete at qb, but not a very good throwing qb. If Griff could find balance in their attack Green could be very dangerous to anyone...but he won't!!! Coach Wood is very good at finding weaknesses in anyone, and he will take total advantage of this. Green wil sit third in our distric!!! Glasgow 28 Green 27 :clap:

Nice job SEMPERFIFALCON! It is my opinion that it is Monroe's distric title to lose, not to win!!! The Region is also not as hard as I previously thought it would be...could very definately be heading to play FC this year!!!! Fc will definately be tested by this Falcon squad, they are as tough or tougher than last years. They are are absolutely the hardest hitting sqaud I have ever watched play at Monroe, just ask Adair, Falcons sent two staters to hospital and the qb is out for the season!!! When these kids hit you, you will know it next week...Falcons are fast and determined, and very hungry after a great season last year!

Fc will take this one but I agree that they definately need a test. Wc is a surprise this year and will be ready for the Falcons, but they are not very deep at a couple important positions, as Fc is! I think the starters for Fc will get to see more of the field in this one because it could go late in the fourth before Fc takes it home. Fc 35 Wc 27

Bill it will be a great pleasure to eat some good pizza with some fellow BGP's. If the team stays focused it will happen, but remember that our district is stacked with three of the top 10 teams...Tough road ahead!!!!

Honestly I agree...WC has a good program but IMO they are not of the same caliber that FC is going to bring to them. I hope it is a good game for FC because they have not had a real tough opponent as of yet. Their district is down so they will not have any problems until regional play and I am not sure they will have any problems then. Remember, just my opinion!!! Go Falcons Go!!!:thumb:

I guess I am a very proud parent to have one player of the game last week and one this week. Falcons looked very good early but lost a little intensity early in the second. I was extremely glad to see Kendall return to the old runner we knew he was, I talked to his father after the game and the passing of Tim Williams from FC had him a little shook up! He had extensive tests done to make sure he was alright and tonight he came back to us!!!! Freshman Chad Wilson had a great game at running back, not seeing him in the backfield before tonight, showing his ability to play with the big boys. I was super impressed with Coach Petett's play calling in what seemed to be the longest game of the season so far. Logan was really throwing the ball 90% of the time. VERY LONG GAME!!!! Go Falcons!! 5-0 :notworthy:
