Garrard isn't such a weak opening opponent. They had a chance to cut it to 8, but didn't cash in on a couple of possesions. First game, no one is going to be perfect. If Garrard would have knocked down a couple more treys it would have been a totally different ball game. But to say that Garrard was a "Weak" opening opponent, is very untrue. We will see as the season goes along.

How can you say that Boyle is better coached? Coach Hilton has over 300 wins and is one of the greatest high school coaches of all time in Kentucky. Bell has handled speed all year in Garrard, Mccreary Central and others. How many teams have Boyle played that runs a true double tight wishbone set. The answer is zero. Bell will be better prepared and will get some key calls with the game on Log Mountain. I see Bell winning easliy 45-14

Garrard County scrimmaged Wayne County tonight and won by 4.

Garrard County and Wayne County scrimmage Friday the 28th. Should be a nice matchup.

They scrimmaged Garrard County. McCreary won 3 out of the 6 quarters pretty handily, but Garrard didn't show up till the 3rd quarter. Garrard won one of the quarters 20-10. But both teams showed their potential!

Every Pitcher from last year is back, and this staff looks to improve even more. They return a staff with 2 one hitters and a no hitter. They will have 4 Senior pitchers and a few underclassmen as well. Hopefully Coach Rall will be able to further transform this team and take them to the Region for the first time in years....

Garrard County returns ALL of their starters as well. And has added their new coach Ed Rall who has won a few games in his lifetime!

Who are the favorites this year? What do you expect from each team?

The boys from Garrard played their hearts out. The first half of the game was as close as it could have been. I dont believe anyone expected the game to be that close. Good luck to Coach Scenters in his seasons to come at Garrard.

If Estill can control the clock and limit turnovers I dont see how Taylor can stop them. Also Estill cant allow Macon to get loose in the special teams part of the game. Thats where he can become a game changer. Im taking Estill 35-14.

What chances do you think the Lions have in the 12th this season?

Garrard County, after beating Boyle last year, after beating Lincoln after three quarters and then losing it at the end, after beating Danville three times, and only losing to Anderson by six, still doesn't get any recognition. That's what I like. The underdog may suprise!

Mccreary was one of the favorites last year talent wise, but nothing came out of it. Garrard County will shock a lot of teams this year, especially the district teams who think they will run right over them.

Only time will tell!!!

2 people dont make a team though, it will show other teams that if they shut down those two, McCreary can be beat!

Garrard County vs. McCreary Central Friday the 14th.

I think the first and third quarters are going to be the keys to the game. Garrard wins the first normally but for whatever reason the Lions come out flat in the second half. Turnovers will also be a huge factor. If Garrard can get Breathitt down early and get momentum going their way, Breathitt may try and force a big play causing a turnover.

Yes Breathitt is the traditional powerhouse football team. Garrard is one of those teams that you cant over look. If they get going early it could be a different game than the Bobcats had planned.

Garrard county scrimmages McCreary County Friday night so we will see how those two teams match up. Garrard should be a force to reckon with this year with Ray, Preston, Woods, Hensley, and Hayes. Whenever their football players make it in they should be ready to play!

O yes. This is playoff time and nothing else but the games matter. You look past the first game cause it could be the last. You do what ever you have to do to get as healthy as possible before the game. But when it comes down to it you just have to suck it up and play on.

I could see this game being closer than alot of people expect. Just looking at the schedules Garrard has played more quality opponents than Breathitt.

I have heard Campbellsville, Cumberland, Graceland(iowa) and a few Div. II teams are talking to him.

Is Chris Thomas back to 100%? If not Powell might make this one interesting.
