Who are the favorites this year? What do you expect from each team?

Should be a good year for the 12th. West Jess. returns alot from last years team that one the Region. Danville lost to West by one run in the Region semi-final game and returns all their staters. Rockcastle will also be very good with Perkins on the mound. Their will also be a couple other that should be vastly improved. Should be a interesting year.

Don't overlook last year's regional runner up. Boyle lost 5 senior starters, but the pitching staff should be better. Senior Garrick Whittle is getting D-1 attention, and senior Ben Carter is recovered from his Tommy John surgery and throwing well. Junior Blake Perry should be getting D-1 attention as well. I would put their top 3 pitchers up against anyone's top 3 in the region. The question will be how well the bats come around in the lineup, and some defensive positions are in question. They could be tough when tournament time comes around.

Garrard County returns ALL of their starters as well. And has added their new coach Ed Rall who has won a few games in his lifetime!

I believe all. That is one of the teams that I think will be vastly improved.

Boyle should have a decent pitching staff. The question mark will be Ben Carter. Not his pitching or his health, but who will catch when he pitches?

What about Mercer? Did they lose alot from last year?

I believe Mercer had 9 seniors with 7 starting most of the time. The 09 team will be dominated be a good group of sophomores. Maybe now Mercer can get a full schedule with local teams and not just a single game when it's convenient!!!

Why would Mercer want to play local teams more than once? Especially those they have a good chance of playing in the Regionial tournament. The local team Mercer needs to worry about is one they due play alot (West Jess.). It would be nice for them to beat them in the Dist. tournament for once.

Every Pitcher from last year is back, and this staff looks to improve even more. They return a staff with 2 one hitters and a no hitter. They will have 4 Senior pitchers and a few underclassmen as well. Hopefully Coach Rall will be able to further transform this team and take them to the Region for the first time in years....

I have to go with the Ads...They won 25 games last season...They won the district tournament and lost by one run in the regional...They return all starters from last season...They also are very well coached...:thumb:
