  1. It's true, Coach Mueller was notified mid week that Dixie would be backing out of the game next year.
  2. It was but at least it was quick.
  3. Man, they just got shut out by Campbell County they just don't have the kids this year. Was Marksberry a horrible coach when he took SK to the State finals?
  4. Yes, amazing what talent does for coaching prowess.
  5. Come on, Marksberry is a decent coach but he wasn't as good as guys like Miles Simpson and Chad Lawrence made him look. SK has a Johnny and Joe problem right now. I will say I thought Lickert out coached him tonight though.
  6. The Pioneers need to get more out of their O-line, no running lanes or pass protection but they don't have anyone that can score the field which allows them to be defended pretty easily. Congratulations to the Camels and Coach Lickert's first win, one of many to come.
  7. Camels in victory formation. The camels d dominates and pitches the shut out. Final 6-0
  8. Sk turnover on downs. Camels ball at midfield. Still 6-0
  9. Camels 6 SK 0 heading into 4th qtr
  10. Ha, I'm still waiting for some chump to answer who they root for but they are afraid to admit it.
  11. There is no new field, it's old mud for the dainty pioneers. I hope they don't get muddy.
  12. Campbell County 6 Simon Kenton 2, neither team is very good this year but the Camels pull out a win at home.
  13. Boone 28-Dixie 24. I think it will be a close game that Boone pulls the upset on the favorite to win the district.
  14. Yes, no question about it in my opinion.
  15. I was talking with my Dad about this subject last night and he said back in his day the Catholic schools would chant, "Hail Mary full of Grace keep the Protestants in second place." That was 50 years ago so I guess not much has changed, the coach overreacted while angry over a loss. He should just say so and put an end to this subject.
  16. I don't care if the walk like an egyptian dance is 25 years old I still think it's cool.
  17. Santa Claus takes in one last football game before heading back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas.
  18. Nice article, the only thing I'm confused on is it stated that he lettered in 3 sports. According to what I read on here Dale only allows guys to concentrate on football. :idunno:  On a serious note a very talented young man.
  19. I'd guess by the just past closing time post he may not remember either.
  20. I agree this is one area the CCYFL could improve, but I'm not sure they'd have the schools blessing. Does anyone know if the FTJFL goes through the 8th grade or does HHS have middle school football? I can't remember.
  21. You give your new head coach the time to get his philosphy and expectations set throughout the program. You allow the CCYFL to continue to send you 40 or 50 kids per grade level with playing experience, instead of relying on the Red Devils who would send 5 or 6 a year at best. You get into your new facility with your coach in his 3rd year and that is really the year that I expect things to really start picking up. I also think it is pretty unfair to not play a SR if he is the better player just to get a sophmore experience. You put your best 11 out there no matter the grade level IMO. The sour grapes from the Red Devil crew about the field is really getting old the CCYFL doesn't even get to play on the field, get over it.
  22. This is a complete revelation to me, so you mean to tell me that all the students at Highlands aren't all very wealthy privilaged kids, there are in fact heterosexuals that attend NCC and not everyone that attends Campbell County is a farmer or plow pusher?? Knock me over with a feather. What a silly reaction, I'd think the coach would be more worried about talking to his team after a tough loss, but what do I know.
